Decided to go out for lunch & the gate house is close & I got 20% off with my blue light card. I had a super special Mediterranean seabass & because its Thursday I could have a free starter or pudding so chocolate fudge cake & ice cream it was. The hubby had a southern fried chicken baguette with cheese & green leaf salad. It was delicious we throughly enjoyed it. Staff were really friendly & helpful. We are coming back for the epic breakfast next time. We would highly recommend a visit for good pub grub.

Christmas Day lunch. What a fantastic idea. We have never had Christmas lunch out before. The whole team at the Gatehouse have been so helpful, including accommodating one of our group who us Gluten free. Thank you, Gatehouse.

We had our Christmas Day lunch at the Gatehouse and went in with low expectations but left completely impressed. Staff friendly and welcoming with prompt service. Food was very good and we're completely converted to having Christmas Dinner out. Would highly recommend.

We spent Christmas Day here with my family for the first time this year (2023) and we had the best time! The food was amazing with generous portions and the staff couldn’t have done more for us! Will definitely come back again and recommend to family and friends. I’d like to add that we often go to the gatehouse and each time the service is exceptional.
Attended Christmas Eve prior to going the football match and saw the breakfast with Santa happening. Was absolutely magical! Amazing food, staff and atmosphere. Will 100% be returning especially next year with nephews and nieces!

Not the best. Service I felt a very high school girly vibe which was not comfortable. Not sure if they was having a bad day. Food was ok. Nothing amazing. Probably won’t be back.

I visited the pub today to celebrate my friend's birthday, but unfortunately, our experience took a turn for the worse. While the mixed-up order was a minor inconvenience, the unacceptable behavior of the barman was beyond disappointing.After a considerable wait, we finally got the barman's attention for our order. However, when we asked about the crisps that were part of our order, he not only ignored us but also threw them at us when prompted. This level of disrespect and unprofessionalism was completely uncalled for and marred what should have been a pleasant celebration.The truly distressing part is that our concerns fell on deaf ears when brought to the manager's attention. Not only was our complaint dismissed, but we were also denied a refund when we said we're leaving. This level of customer mistreatment is utterly unforgivable.This review serves as a cautionary tale for those considering a visit to Gatehouse. The lack of basic courtesy and the complete disregard for customer satisfaction make this establishment one to avoid at all costs.

We come here for our annual Christmas get together with our friend group! The service was prefect, and the staff were so friendly! The food came out super fast and hot, it was delicious! Not to mention the excellent prices! #wine Wednesday is the one!! Honestly couldn’t recommend the place more!
