I have been coming to this historic pub for a few months now and will continue to do so due to the faithful hospitality accompanied by friendly bar staff and regulars. Manager Kate well present them self’s while at work as well as enjoying the company of people in the pub no matter how long they have been part of the family. We were seated swiftly at our table with impeccable service followed by impeccable food! Beer and ale is superb. We ordered a hot n spicy pizza as well as the loaded nachos. Great bits to have accompanied by the beer. Another plus, is that dogs are welcomed which is great for my dog who received lots of attention and fresh water on arrival. Happy to see that all walks of life is welcome :). I can’t express enough how much I love being in the fieldhouse

So after several visits our experience here was as good as the 1st time. We were very luck as we made a last minute booking on a Sunday and we accommodated within 15 minutes. The food is exceptional. I can't stress this enough. If you're after excellent, fresh. home cooked food then The Fieldhouse is your place. I can't recommend it enough. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. You're all doing a fabulous job, keep it up.Parking: Plenty of room to park.

Lovely decor, county pub feel with super garden area. Staff were great..food was really good. I was very disappointed with the very limited choice of ales (1). Maybe it's different at a weekend. Atmosphere has been given a middle of the road 3 based on the rather loud and foul mouth customer standing at the bar 6 to 8 feet from where we were esting our meal. In one burst of expletives, I counted 5 F's in a sentence that constied of no more than 10 words.I'm no angel, but come on, this guy is obviously regular and no doubt would be embarrassed if he realised the impact of his bad and un called for expletives on new visitors. To sum up...beer choice, poor, staff great, food great... entertainment not required.

We have been calling at The Fieldhouse for several weeks now for a drink and Tea/Dinner. We have two dogs and have been delightfully welcomed into a very friendly, well furnished and comfortable bar. The menu is first class and the food is second to none. Absolutely delicious. The suet crust pie is especially recommended. The Fieldhouse is like pubs used to be in their heyday Great outdoor space as well and in a lovely area of he city outskirts, almost hidden away. The two bar ladies are great and so helpful. Couldn't rate this establishment higher! The dogs were welcomed as well and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.

Amazing! Visited here on a Sunday afternoon and fancied something different so I went for burger and chips. I regret nothing it was absolutely delicious! To follow that I had a honeycomb cheesecake which was beyond amazing! This was a while ago however so the menu may have changed since then but overall I was very impressed and would happily go back! ?

We’ve not been to the fieldhouse to eat for over a year due to a poor previous experience.Having gone today to try it out again, I just say, I was really impressed. We opted for the beef burger (homemade) and halloumi burger. They were so fresh and tasty, nothing was left on the plate.Well done fieldhouse for stepping up the game on the food, we’ll come again. One point to make out is to improve the menu layout, it’s a bit all over the place.

Honestly by far the best roast dinner around. The food is outstanding and incredibly fresh. The staff are also very welcoming and friendly. The only downside is the size. They have a small restaurant section and bar. The bar section can get a little rowdy with inappropriate language and talk (as bars do!) so it is worth keeping that in mind when booking.
