“From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed. Lovely and friendly restaurant with beautiful food. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Arundel. Also very reasonably priced with big portions! They have a vast vegan/ vegetarian menu too which was great for the vegans in our group to have so much choice.”

“We had a family meal here while out for a walk. Food came in a reasonable time and a decent size and price. Sometimes had difficulty catching the eye of staff.Draught beer and cider includes Stowford Press, Neck Oil and Proper Job which went down well.I had a halloumi burger which had a lovely amount of halloumi and it wasn't chewy but soft, great mix with pesto and peppers. Husband had steak and kidney suet pudding which was a favourite and the rest of the table had scampi (great big fat chips that were crispy and soft inside) and then mackerel pate and prawn cocktail (starters so they could justify dessert). The st Clements cheesecake was full of citrus but no orange and very creamy, otherwise didn't pack much flavourToilets clean and well looked after”

“Food was good solid traditional British pub fayre of yesteryear, decent ale selection that was well kept, and service was excellent. They seemed to be playing country music all evening though, which puts me off going back. I have a VERY low tolerance for country music though, so maybe that just me :”

“Great pub on the bank of the river! Very chilled, we visited on a Friday lunch time and there were hardly any people around. Just what was needed. Food was delicious - huge piece of perfectly cooked cod and the fishcakes were very good!Good selection of beer too. Great location for walkers, easy access to the river bank walk.”
