Thai time @ Arundel
61 High St, ArundelWe ordered a takeaway one Saturday night as we have previously been to the restaurant and loved it. My partner went to collect our order and when he got home one of the orders was incorrect. We don’t live round the corner so of course this was disappointing. I called the restaurant and explained what had happened and they apologised profusely and asked for my name as we would be able to have a free meal next time.Fast forward over 6 weeks - we fancied a takeaway and called to mention what had happened and gave them my name in which they agreed the free meal. We were so impressed with this. The takeaway was amazing! Thank you so much to the manager / staff. We can’t wait to return ☺️

We been previously for breakfast which we can also really recommend. Lovely atmosphere and all round great evening. We will be back again.

Moathouse Bakeaway & Coffee Co.
9 High St, ArundelHad a great lunch here today, hand cut chips + a proper cornish pasty and a fresh coronation chicken baguette, both served with a generous side salad and Cole slaw. Cheerful and friendly service, well priced too. Highly recommended!Vegetarian options: Theŕ looked to be a reasonable veggie selection, including cheese and onion pasties and veggie sausage rolls plus various salads and sandwiches/toasties. Not sure about vegan options tho.Parking: Free parking on street for an hour and paid carpark within 50 yards.Wheelchair accessibility: I think it would be possible for a wheelchair to access the premises but it's pretty cramped inside, and the toilets are upstairs.

Motte & Bailey Cafe
49 High St, ArundelI'm just leaving a quick review to big it up for the Motte & Bailey Cafe, who did their bit in restoring our faith in the local eateries & hostelries in Arundel after we'd just had a bad experience in another local establishment (my review of the Black Rabbit refers). So, having had our best laid plans scuppered, we found ourselves looking somewhere else for lunch-time food and solace. We came upon the centrally located Motte & Bailey Cafe (although I'm not sure the 'cafe' title does it justice; we had what was restaurant standard food, and we noticed they're licensed, so I'd say this is more a casual restaurant than your typical bacon-butty cafe). So after the indifference of the previous establishment we'd been to, it was refreshing to be greeted by a cheerful and attentive waitress who took our order, and with minimal delay refreshments were on the table in the form of quality coffees, followed by Eggs Benedict for me and Irish Seafood Chowder for my other half, chosen from the Brunch and Lunch menu. Both dishes really were as good as it gets. The menu catered I'm sure for all manner of tastes and appetities with a good variety of the typical fare including salads, burgers, sandwiches and desserts. So, in terms of ambience (a lovely view across Arundel High Street), quality of the food, friendly and courteous service, pricing, and menu options (plus there's two varying menus dependent on the time of day), it's a five from me and likewise from my wife!

Amberley Museum
New Barn Rd, Amberley, ArundelThis is a fantastic museum set in a former chalk pit area and consists of many outbuildings that display the history of the manufacturing of lime from the chalk plus woodworking, metalworking, telecommunications, and printing to list just a few. It is run by very knowledgeable volunteers who are keen to share their experience. It is amazing to see this equipment in use, plus many interactive areas. Children can learn and enjoy the interactive sections as well as adults. There is also a mini railway and classic buses to take you around the site.A nice cafe serves lovely lunches/sandwiches etc.
