Can’t even give this horrible place a rating, myself and 6 members of my family tried to go into the pub for New Year’s Eve drinks, 2 entered whilst I held the door for my sister in law who has arthritis and trouble walking, but was screamed at by the vile barman for holding the door and “taking too long to come in” these comments were also screamed at me by very evidently locals. Even after I asked him not to be rude and tried to explain why it was taking a few minutes for my family to get in He continued to be abusive. I’m from Devon visiting family and this has upset me greatly. Pale looking barman with blond hair, if he’s the owner then SHAME ON YOU

This is a very friendly pub with very affordable prices. The wines especially are very reasonably priced and there is a good variety.there is no food but the pub are quite happy to let you bring your own food as long as you are having a drink.

It was lovely to go into a pub that was a pub. The service was fantastic with staff that actually chatted to you, friendly clientele, an open fire, excellent beer and the icing on the cake was a pub dog who visited people for fuss and loving. It’s lovely to see a traditional pub doing well. I would highly recommend a visit it left me feeling optimistic that maybe the traditional pub is not extinct.

A fantastic good, old drinking pub full of character. A wonderful fire in the winter and a great garden in the summer. No food is served here, but if you ask the staff, they usually let you bring your own food in - there’s a fish and chip shop over the road.

Had a lovely day in Arundel, decided to stop here for some drinks, only stayed for one drink as we were so appalled. I lit a cigarette outside and ashed it on the floor, a lady abruptly came over to the end of our table and moved our ash tray with force in front of us, she was towering over us and spoke to us like we were children. She said In quite a condescending tone “darlings, do not ash on the floor, ash in the ash tray that’s what it is for. I actually clean this garden”, she then walked off inside sat at the table in the corner and begun to speak about our group. They was all turning around and laughing at us. We felt so uncomfortable we left and quite shocked at how she spoke to us. We wouldn’t of minded if she was polite but she was so rude we were quite upset; for her to then laugh about us and tell her friends what she had said in a way where she was almost boasting she had told us off we were appalled. We absolutely did not want to put any more money into the pockets of the pub as we were unsure if that was the owner or just a staff member. It solidified the stereo type of people from Arundel in our minds as we have heard that they can be quite rude. We are very upset and it ruined our day, we will not be returning to Arundel again.

Lovely typical olde local pub, such a cute beer garden decorated with bay trees and fairy lights, friendly staff, good drinks

This little jem is hidden in the back of the The white hart. A little family run restaurant that is only open on weekends. The menu is not large but the quality makes up it. We had the pork and beef Sunday roast the meat was cooked to perfection and make sure you don't miss out on the cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire puddings. The only way to round off the prefect meal is with the freshly made Teramisu and Apple crumble and custard. The venue is wheelchair friendly access down the side and seating.
