Always popular, normally one of the busiest in Burgess Hill.

Great pub, always seems to be busy with a great crowd in there, my only issue is they don't show sport, but with live music and clearly being so popular really isn't an issue.

Great pub as

It's a nice pub to visit for a drink or a quick bite to eat especially if you're on your way home from the station. My only gripe is that every time they babe some sort of event on in here (music, quiz, DJ) the speakers are always way too loud and in some parts of the bar it's just deafening.

I love this pub. Central location. Friendly staff. Plenty of space. Live music.

Really good food and very value for money, staff are super friendly and welcoming. The only downside is that it's a bit too loud, especially after 7 pm, but it is a pub, so it's to be

Good pub in general. Service is never especially quick- never seems to be enough staff. Beer choices mainly limited to Green King of course.

I first visited the railway in October after a last minute invite. Since then, it’s been my weekly go-to pub.Having met many of the staff now, they are always incredibly friendly and accommodating. James in particular never fails to provide brilliant service with a smile.I pre-booked food over the Christmas break and met Beks who runs the kitchen. The food was absolutely delicious, and no detail was missed with equally as impressive presentation. After meeting Beks it’s no surprise the food is impeccable. She was kind, accommodating, and multitasked better than inspector gadget. The pub itself beautiful, and the Christmas decorations were flawless. The manager, I think his name is Steve, is always exceptionally and consistently helpful. He seems to know exactly what’s going on and where, and has a handle on absolutely everything.I would 10/10 recommend for any occasion from a quiet drink, to a group night out.

My friends and I came for the festive menu and everything was incredible! 3 courses for £19.99 in this economy is incredible. Massive shout out to the chef Beks for the beautiful food and Ben for five star service! Will always recommend this

We treated my Mum to some pub grub as we were down from Scotland, all the staff were lovely & helpful & we held high hopes for the food. Mum & my wife had the Fish & Chips & from the lack of chatter from their side of the table it was obvious that they were enjoying their meal, I had the mixed grill & although I ate at least 90% of it (I was hungry) I am afraid to say if it was average it would be being generous. The Chips were fab, the Grilled Tomato was fab, the Gammon Steak was fab but the sausages were really not good & nor was the Chicken, they were both dry inside & just about warm, the egg was good (well the 2nd one was) I don’t blame the staff, these days with pub companies there is no freedom to ‘cook’ anymore & suspect most is just warmed up - So Greene King, some of the food you supplied for my meal was pants!! Of course, if it was ‘all’ freshly cooked then some improvement & coaching would be in order. To finish off, the beer & choice of beer is always excellent & it’s a lovely pub
