Absolutely appalling, there was so many things wrong with the food to go into. Would not definitively recommend or go again. Sent a chicken dish back as it was that over cooked you couldn’t get your knife through, and then the second one was just as bad, so just left the food and gave up. The only bit of Saving grace was the waitress was very good and gave us a discount. No atmosphere very cold and just lack lustre.

Food is average, service is slow even when there are not many customers: they just don't look at you, and don't see you trying to attract their attention. Convenient location though and nice seating.

Always a great place to visit. Good atmosphere and genuinely friendly

Service was nice so was the environment but when I found plastic packaging in my meal. Their response was less than satisfactory. They took the meal away a removed the bruschetta from the bill, but I still don’t get lunch.

Absolutely awful experience on all counts. Terrible service. Food took an age and then wasn't as ordered. Service team didn't communicate, sat at bar on phone avoiding eye contact.

A group (7) of us booked for brunch, had to preorder since the restaurant wanted to be sure to have ingredients for breakfast. We arrived to an empty and soulless restaurant, school students wandering in to use the toilets and only two staff so no control Wohnwagen coming and going. Orders taken but we were told that there were no sausages , even after we ordered. A restaurant with gumption would have gone across the road to the Coop to buy a pack, but not here. Breakfast came in cribs and drabs and every plate and food was cold. Cold poached eggs, cold bacon, cold toast. It takes some doing to be so incompetent to not produce a cooked breakfast. We each had 20%taken from our bills, but that wasn’t the point. The food, the ambience and the service were appallingly bad. We used to come here regularly but stopped when staff changes happened and it lost its way. We’ve tried again, but now would never return.

I love carluccios. Unfortunately people were turned away as only one chef in residence. Had a simple salad and it was a bit sparse so I asked for more just like Oliver!!

Very disappointing experience all round. I had previously gone into the restaurant a week ago to book one of the 'pod' tables for today as we had a disabled person with us. When I arrived today the table was occupied by somebody else and the rude waitress told me they did not take bookings for specific table ( even though she had made a note on the top of the computer booking system ). She had a really bad ' don't care / take it or leave it' attitude and relocated us to another table in the corner. Sat there for 40 minutes and was at no time approached to see if any drinks were required whilst we waited for one of our party who had been delayed.. Was then told that any food would have been 30 - 45 minutes even though there could not have been more than 20 people in the whole restaurant. We then decided that enough was enough and left to go to the Giggling Squid opposite - no apology or manners shown by any of these amateur staff - they simply do not care. Would never - ever go back !!

Sad and rather depressing visit. The food was fine, despite the fact that so many dishes were "off" that night. But no atmosphere because they close at 7pm and we were the last clients there, very aware of the "they are the last people here" whispers from the staff. We won't go again, but feel it's very sad because they were great in the past. I hope they get their act together and become the good venue they once were. But we won't go back.

I’d like to say that we had a great lunch like all the previous times but sadly, we walked out without eating anything. I have had a nut allergy for over 20 years and have eaten in Carluccio’s many times without incident. This time, everything I tried to order was ‘off limits’ to anyone with a nut allergy despite the fact that on the face of it, none of the dishes I selected should have contained nuts or even been cooked with nut based products. Fried Calamari. Spinach & ricotta ravioli. Chicken Milanese…The very pleasant manager checked every dish on a tablet and basically said that she could not serve me anything I asked for! I totally understand the need for vigilance and have written to HQ for an explanation on the change to their cooking techniques. To date I haven’t heard a peep. Will not be going back any time soon. Very disappointing customer service.

Not busy but nevertheless the service though very friendly was very very slow for both food and coffee. There seemed to be a lack of direction or any sense of urgency. When eventually served the coffee was good.

After being told nearby ASK didn’t have any team to serve us for lunch we ventured into Carluccios to be told the same. Shocking on a Saturday lunch time. So won’t bother again

We celebrated my Mum's 60th birthday at Carluccio's in Chichester, the team were very helpful, from booking, amending the booking, send over pre-orders (large table of 25). On the day the atmosphere was lovely, again the staff were so friendly and helpful, I had made an error on the pre-order which they changed and didn't charge for the mistake. The only grumble anyone had was that the food was a bit cold, however given that they ensured all the food came out together I can understand that. Would definitely visit again.
