Busy pub for a Saturday evening, as the rugby was on. Until all of a sudden the signal on the Sky box failed. Staff for some unexplained reason were unable to switch to freeview tv, and lost 3/4 of their customers. I'm sure Greene King would like an explanation for the sudden drop in sales, as they promote the 6 Nations Rugby., being a main sponsor.

Last Sunday I booked a table for myself and since it was Mothering Sunday bookings were full in Chichester so was grateful for getting this reservation.I ordered a new bottle of wine ( an organic white from Italy ) which had a great taste of pears which complemented my meal of Beetroot and Aubergine pie.But the best thing was the friendly atmosphere of locals, as well as the Manageress whom service was first rate. But a special mention was for a nice young Lady (Summer) who was not only attentive but friendly to all regulars and a credit to your establishment.I wish to come again and wish the Old Cross all the best in the future. Thank you.

Such delicious food as always! Hunters chicken here is a must for me, it's always sooo good and hasn't changed in the 3 years I've been away from Chichester!I always love the food and drinks, the staff are always so lovely and it's always great value and a great atmosphere.

We booked for a table for a Saturday afternoon sitting. Unfortunately when we arrived the table had not been reserved so we were unable to be sorted at the time. After speaking, to who seemed like the head chef, he was over accommodating in finding us a table that would seat us all. He was very helpful, friendly and quickly to rectify the situation considering the pub was already so busy. Our kids food came out in good time, as we wanted them fed first. The chef even made sure we were serve at high priority so that we then didn’t have to wait longer. Our food also came out at a good time and we all really enjoyed it.Although first impressions it seemed like a busy pub, it did great food and we had a great table to enjoy as a family. Thank you to the staff. We would really recommend.
