I went into the cornish bakery the other day and the lovely young gentleman called Luke was absolutely super and helped me pick out a lovely pasty and he made a beautiful latte!I would recommend this place to my friends

Plates cold for my hot sandwich also coffee was latei n a cold cup very up set bean to this shop before and at gun wharf never had any problems before Chichester the coffee was so slow why is the machine not coping with the amount of people in the ship.

Visited yesterday afternoon and the service was excellent. The staff were very helpful and extremely friendly. The team run by a young man called Luke, I believe ,seemed to be very happy in their jobs and they should all be commended..

Really really slow service, batista rolling his eyes at customers in front of me and took ages to make my two drinks because he prioritised having a good chat with his mate over making my drinks. Didn't even acknowledge I was there, or make any conversation. When I ordered the food nobody asked whether we were sitting in or taking away so was handed the pastries in a paper bag to sit and eat at a table.

The BEST bakery in Chichester! Incredibly friendly staff, delicious coffee, and, of course, out-of-this-world Cornish pasties (traditional, vegetarian, and vegan options all available). Huge thanks to Laura, Luke, Holly, Annie, and all the rest of the fantastic team for making us always feel so welcome.

Five of us went to the Cornish bakery for drinks and snacks. Service was a little slow but OK. The food and drinks were good.

We won’t be returning to this bakery any time soon! Crumbs all over the table, seats and floor. Overpriced tasteless coffee. Full fat milk (or oat milk) only. ‘Staff shortages’ meant no plates, eating a pasty out of the paper bag, no china cups, surly unsmiling staff, and absolutely no atmosphere. I rather felt we weren’t really welcome, and the staff would rather we hadn’t bothered them. As Chichester now has such a huge choice of eateries, the Cornish bakery needs to make much more of an effort!
We visited this place while exploring the Christmas market stalls and the city centre. The Americano we ordered was very very nice, nothing to compare with the one in Costa, so very pleased with the taste. The pastries were alright, a bit dry, but still ok to try on as one off. The place needs cleaning as the tables were not very well cleaned, sticky. The floor was dirty, full with leftovers. For the price I paid it was ok, but it could be cleaner. The guy behind the till was very friendly and nice!

Bought 2 Steak & Stilton pasties to take away. Very disappointed, each of us had 2 small lumps of Steak, very little Stilton but mostly potatoes and onions. Had to pay by card but my receipt did not state that on my bank statement this transaction would appear as 1500 BASSINGBOURNE so thought I had been scammed. Rang my bank to check this and was informed that it was for take out food. Only then did I know transaction was OK. Won't buy another pasties there! Jill

Expected table service , but had to carry coffees and meal to table. Tables were not wiped down and sticky, toilets dirty.Food was nice though.

Very shocked to see the bad ratings . This bakery has always been my go to. I’m always greeted with a friendly server and great food and not to forget the coffee!! The workers here are always attentive and chatty which makes the visit even better! Two of the workers here (Becky and Josh) recommended the brownie and carrot cake and they tasted amazing!
