Absolute rubbish service and rude staffI called in and booked a table for two prior to coming in. I came in and they assisted me to our table. Then they gave us menus and left us alone. They didn’t even bother to ask us about papadoms or any drinks. We were the only customer in the restaurant. Bear in mind, my family owns 3 Indian restaurants so I am very well aware of how it goes in a restaurant business. Later on the old waiter came and asked for drinks and I ordered drinks and asked for some popadoms. So I also ordered a glass of water with no ice but they gave me the water with ice. Upon asking to change it, the waiter took the glass and came back after 10 minutes with the water. We placed our order and were waiting for the food. The starters came and we ordered a portion of chicken pakora which was definitely pre cooked and just microwaved before serving to us. It tasted very soggy. Then after some time, the main course came. I saw the food in front of me and I was awestruck and utterly disappointed. Just look at the attached picture. This is the portion of rice they served me. That was hardly even 3 tablespoons. I ordered railway lamb where they mixed regular lamb with railway lamb pieces. And in the whole portion of curry there was only 4 piece of lamb that even mixed. We ordered two naan bread which was extremely tiny and so hard that it was not even chewable. The most surprising thing is they did not even bother to ask us once about how the food is or is everything okay. I was so disappointed that I did not even bother to call them. I called one of the waiter for the bill who came with the bill and it was £49. A complete waste of my money. Just because we did not buy any alcohol and we are less profitable customers, they were extremely ignorant towards us. The service is extremely poorly and the food is not up to the standards.Highly disappointed and recommend to avoid.

Got a takeaway as fully booked and has been my go to curry since I was introduced.But food on a Wednesday is definitely better than a Saturday I get busy but not the same love was given and, not going to stop me going though. The better times have made up for a blip

So many nice meals at blue india,but unfortunately this wasn't one of them,such a shame the food isn't of a usual standard.,I wonder? New chef or new food supplier,and the staff seem like they don't want to be there.. it's a 5/10 for me, I won't be returning.

Absolutely disgusting customer service - avoid. Called up to ask about allergens/ingredients in their dishes before ordering online, as I have a severe allergy to gluten and lactose. The staff member who answered the phone said he “cannot help”, so I asked to speak to someone else. He said he will get someone, then after a long pause, he disconnected the call. I called back and got through to someone else, who helped me by liaising with the chef about the allergy order. I then called again to ask one more question about another dish we wanted to add to our order and got through to the first person who hung up on me earlier. He said “I have already spoken to you, you need to try somewhere else, go to another shop.” Not believing what I had just heard, I asked him to repeat what he said, and he repeated “go to another shop!” and then hung up the phone, again! We called back to tell the manager what had happened and that we were indeed going to another shop as his staff member suggested. So rude and so unhelpful. I have never had a conversation like this in all the years I have been speaking to restaurant staff about food allergies. Clearly no regard for customers with allergy requirements, which a busy restaurant should at least have a process for (and I know they do from eating here before, AND the from speaking to the second person the same evening). So even just a pleasant conversation to say sorry but I don’t know would have been appreciated. Rude man who simply couldn’t be bothered to assist! Won’t be ordering from here in future.
I used to keep returning to this restaurant as their food is amazing, but every time I go there I am reminded of the staff who are quite rude and inconsiderate.Two instances:Once I went to dine in at about 7 pm and they mentioned they have bookings for the entire evening, so I asked if I could do a take away. They said yes and I was seated in the waiting area. The staff made weird faces as if they are annoyed, when asked for recommendations they gave a very cold response. It took 45 mins for the food to arrive and by this time, I was uncomfortable sitting inside so I just waited outside.Last week, went again with a bunch of friends to dine in. First they rushed us to order, asking us to order all the items at once as the restaurant will get busy. Then they delayed our starters and brought them with the main course.Later, we were towards the end of our meal but not finished. The staff asked if we were done, on saying no, he turned around and started looking at his watch.It did not feel nice and I am never going to this place again.

Only had a takeaway from the Blue India and I have to say, its one of the tastiest curry's I've had in a long time. Will give the restaurant a go some time.

Fantastic meal! It has been a long time since I have had curry this good. Quick service, lovely interior design and very high quality food. Good sized portions and great value. The experince left me with a high and was even greeted by all the staff as we left which made us feel like royalty! Would definitely return !
