Lovely atmosphere. The Battered Cod i had was nice and crispy, the chairs are comfortable and the service was very good. The place indeed does feel 13th century (aside from the modern aspects.) The food was lovely and filling; a nice place to grab a bite before our flight tomorrow. Would recommend!Parking: Plenty of parking, unsure if it’s free or not.

The food was very good however the management let the side down, and we'll not be returning as a peer to peer networking hub, and we won't be telling others about the venue either, we required a quiet space to run the event, the 1st month, last month actually, we were put at the back of the room and this worked well as we had privacy to talk about business matters, but this month they placed us in the frontal area of the pub and other people started sitting down next to us whilst we were running our meeting. Not acceptable. Our hub leader booked the time and space, only to be told by management in the evening, that we didn't book. Not professional, and not worth our time to commit to other events at this venue.

Lovely atmosphere, the afternoon was poor, and one choice, a traybake cake. 1 dried out scone, tea and coffee squased on a little table to near to guests, sandwiches okay, something you would have at home, no effort made to tidy them up!! Place was lovely, clean. 2 members of staff on who were nice but hard to find at times!

First time visit as we had some Tesco vouchers to use. An old quaint building adds characters does the cozy welcoming interior. We were impressed with the menu choice. Different from normal pub restaurants like Whitbread. Seafood mixed grill was a pleasant change. Food was very good and reasonably priced. James was great and looked after us well, and the other stall we met were also friendly with genuine smiles. Would definately eat here again.

In London for a day so just decided to make use of the restaurant next to where we are staying. Really glad I did, my mouth kept watering with every bite of the steak it was rather funny honestly, my partner seemed equally pleased with their chicken burger. Servers were very polite and food was prepared and served promptly, I won't be back but I wish I could be :)

Had a lovely meal here again this eve. We live locally and pop in probably a couple of times a year. You can use your Tesco clubcard vouchers here so it makes an excellent value meal out. The staff are always friendly and helpful and we often see the same faces time after time, tonight we were looked after by James who took great care of us. They were extremely busy so there was a little wait but we weren't in a rush. All the staff appeared to be working hard and one member of staff even managed to avoid falling over the children running about the restaurant as she was delivering food to another table, thankfully the children left soon after.

Two of our party had the no leaf salad with halloumi which, if it wasn't for the halloumi, would have just about been sufficient for a small starter & no sriracha on the small bit of cauliflower on the plate. One of us had a sirloin steak which was so tough he sent it back, another steak was served which was as tough as the first. I was, however very happy with my Kerala chickpea curry. Our waitress, Genevieve, who had been welcoming & attentive throughout the evening, dealt very graciously with our complaints & the manager also came to apologise & assure us that our comments would be fed back to the general management. Our sweets were very good. We were only charged for two of them as compensation for the poor meals. The steak meal was not charged for at all.
