The food and ambience was great. Good for an evening drink and get together. Slightly costly but the food does the proper justice to the £££. The service was absolutely fantastic until we were paying bills and decided not to tip. The gentleman serving us threw a comment saying "Sorry that you didn't like our service" and walked away.

We came down to Smith and western Tilgate on 17th March 2024 and I was completely blown away. The food was amazing, really amazing! Fresh dishes that you can tell have been put together with care and decent portions. Pricey.. yes but it is worth it. I spent more at tgi and it didn't touch Smith and western Tilgate.Our server Debbie was genuine, caring and wanted to make us feel special . She actually took time out to speak to us and have a laugh with us, made my partners birthday really special and I just can't thank her enough. Its rare I'm so happy with somewhere that I even just called them to tell the manager along with top marks on the survey. I will be going back extremely soon. Utterly amazing. Thank you!Wheelchair accessibility: You can park out rhe front and everything is wheelchair accessible (not that we use one but it is)

My rewiew is not about the food because that was excellent, but the service was slow as a snail, we ware 4 grown-ups and 3 children we order drinks and the food for the children and we ask for a minute so us the grown-ups can decide what to get the minute goes we make our order drinks come and now the waiting starts...after 50 minutes the food for the grown-ups shows up but no food for the kids after a 1 hour and 20 min and a upset mom and a promise of no charge the food for the children every one has food now. But not thanks to those who overlooked that the service...

Second time visiting Smith and Western - Tilgate Park, and it was as enjoyable as the first time. This time, however, we were there to celebrate a birthday. The food was fantastic, and the Belly Buster topped it nicely. Unfortunately, I can't remember the servers name, but she was amazing.

Second visit to the chain, first at the location.Location is top top, great park for little ones and scenery of the lake, much better then going into a middle of town centre.As always decor on point and kids absolutely love it, the music on, staff dressed up, really work visiting with kids.Food was good, £14 meal + drink at lunch + 3£ for starter/dessert is a good deal for the quality of food and the restaurant atmosphere and staff involvement of the experience (margarita frozen or refill coke)ie staff are dressed up in western style often in the role play.Surprisingly they haven't gone the route of forcing 15% service charge which I like, I prefer to offer a tip then be forced (makes customers feel there being generous rather then be forced, so thats nice.Service good, re management reading props to your staff putting in the effort! good job
