Such a great place to be. The staff could not be more hospitable. The food is consistently excellent . And the music is fantastic on a Sunday evening. What more could one ask for. Thank you so much, Megan, Colin and colleagues.

Went Easter Sunday, family of 3 adults and 2 children. Meals were cold, and had to be returned. My 2 year old granddaughter was unable to complete the Easter Egg hunt around the pub, and as a consequence was denied the Easter treat of a 50p Malteser Bunny despite spending over £100.00 on a very sub standard meal. Very disappointed and won’t be returning.

I booked for Good Friday especially because their website said they would have an Easter dessert from Good Friday to Easter Monday. Despite it being a bank holiday weekend they only had two servers. It took an hour for some of our table to receive our food, the other two had to wait longer as their meal had accidentally been sent to another table so had to make the meal again! We ordered and paid for the Easter dessert at the bar because it was taking a long time for the waiter to come back. They then came back to us to say that they weren’t going to do the Easter dessert as the kitchen had decided that they would only do it at the weekend from Saturday (note, if you’re going on Monday they may not have it despite it being on their website as available for the whole Easter weekend). I won’t bother coming here again as the experience was quite poor.

Table for 7 people. After ordering Sunday dinner waited a while and had to go and ask the waitress when it would be arriving..The dinners arrived and looked lovely however the carrots and parsnips were hard and not very well cooked. The Turkey Breast was in a pond of gravy and then had a mini gravy boat on the plate??, roast potatoes were dry and pigs in blankets tasteless.Last time I was here I could not fault the food service and atmosphere ( 5 years) sadly this time round a very different story. The only good thing was the live music.

Csme here on Mother’s Day for the roast. It was a bit hit and miss to be honest. The beef was lovely, but the vegetables were either really hard and cold, or so hot you couldn’t eat it. So I’m not sure how a plate of food can have a mixture of good and average food. We ordered a side of cauliflower cheese, piping hot around the edge but the middle was stone cold frozen, and a burger was ordered for my child, and didn’t come out how we ordered it, (no salad but cheese instead) cheese came separate in a pot…we were also not allowed to order an extra side, was told we could only order one side, so the kids meals were really small sizes because of that. For pudding I ordered a sticky toffee pudding with custard which was like warm at best. It just seems the food was rushed out and not checked if it was hot all the way through. Hot food makes all the difference to a meal.
