Just a brilliant place to eat. The owner is very hospitable. The food is very well cooked, and great value. The Bluebell is the worst kept secret in East Grinstead.

A typical cafe, good pot of tea with a greasy fry up! Only thing that let I down was the eggs were a bit "snotty" inside and the toast was little anaemic.

A really good local tea shop, cafe, and restaurant of long standing in the town centre. Run by a local area Turkish Cypriot family who have together given many decades of dedicated service to the people and town center of East Grinstead with their various food, ice cream and other businesses. Helpful and friendly family run business service. In past years it is somewhere I liked to sit with friends and enjoy a coffee. Or enjoy a small meal in company here. Years ago I attended evening dinner meetings here too with the local church Alpha group dinner talks.(This is also notably apparently a business mentioned in the memoirs of an early noughties foreign service intelligence agent of the Zimbabwean government. At the time President Mugabe was still in power, around time our Prime Minister was Tony Blair, or around/just after perhaps that time period. Listed in his book of his life story as somewhere he had once met with a contact. Travelling down to East Grinstead by train from London specifically to collect information of intetest supplied to him by a source contact. I'm trying to remember the name of that chap's book that I read this in, at a second hand bookshop in my travels. It has slipped my mind. Kicking myself I didn’t buy that book now really! Wouldn't have to try then to go by memory alone. But it can only mean this cafe in that book and nowhere else. There is only one cafe on the corner of Railway Approach in East Grinstead in West Sussex, opposite the Railway pub. Bluebells Cafe. Has to be this one. )

A decent breakfast with excellent coffee. Polite service with a good menu - fairly priced. The mushrooms were a bit oily but I would have the same meal again.

Be aware if buying the breakfast to check you are not charged for your "free" tea or coffee.have been twice in the past, avoided for 2 years only for a client to ask to meet for breakfast there. And surprise, surprise charged for the supposedly "free" tea and coffee.May not be a big deal to some but adds 25% to the bill.Don't trust them!

A classic greasy spoon - good breakfasts at a good price. The lighting is quite low for some reason, but the welcome is warm. The cafe is also licenced, but we just had soft drinks this time.

Princing and food quality are generally balanced. The quality seems to vary over time.Today, we were getting feta instead of halloumi. That is ok. Sometimes, restaurants run out of ingredients. However, I would expect them to tell such in advance rather than simply serving something other than advertised.
