Dunning's Rd, East GrinsteadLisa and her team put on a fantastic fundraising charity dinner and raffle for the local Rotary club . We raised over £1200 for the Cut Out Cancer charity. There were about 70 diners and the waitressing staff worked tirelessly to ensure that everyone had a good time. The food was excellent with huge portions. The pub was very generous in their donation to the charity.

42 High St, East GrinsteadHad such a lovely experience here! The Turkish food was absolutely delicious — full of flavour and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is warm and cosy, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal.
The staff were all friendly and welcoming, and special thanks to the young girl who served us — she was attentive, polite, and incredibly fast. She remembered our preferences, recommended a great red wine, and even took our order without writing anything down — her memory was impressive and everything came exactly right!
Definitely recommend this place and will be coming back again!

We started with a delicious mezze trio, and for mains, the grilled sea bass and lamb kofta were both fantastic. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience enjoyable. The passion fruit white chocolate parfait for dessert was the perfect finish and when we found out it was made from scratch we was very impressed. Highly recommend this spot I believe it to be the best in East Grinsted.Dietary restrictions: Clear on the menu

Delicious bacon sandwich and I highly recommend the dark hot chocolate. It's not as sweet as regular hot chocolate and is delicious. But it's really the lady that is front and centre who makes this place so special, I wished I'd asked her name today to thank her personally

Ship St, East GrinsteadUnfortunately when we visited for Sunday lunch on the 4th Jan with some family members and new baby there was no heating on. We did mention this initially and were told it is on and will soon warm up. Some time later it was still very cold so we mentioned again and were told it was on. It never got warmer so we only had a main course as we're too cold for deserts or coffees. We dropped in the next day and the place was warm so was disappointing for our family gathering.

Been here a few times and the quality has been excellent, lloydy has been supreme in looking after us.

The landlord is delightful, a very friendly and helpful chap, makes you feel really welcome - has a nice choice of ales. Highly recommend, if you find yourself in East Grinstead for any reason!

To no surprise they provided Amazing service as always, despite them being incredibly busy they were still extremely kind and accommodating! They shout out the order (not your name), but the restaurant is large and if you are sitting at the back,, you don't hear the call. someone else comes along and takes your coffee! Complete chaos!

Unit E, Queens Walk, East GrinsteadWhat amazing service. The care, attention and little touches were fabulous. I reserved a table for my daughter's 18th. Just a little gathering of family on her actual birthday. I explained she wanted cocktails. When we had arrived the Carlo team had decorated the table, added a birthday card and an 18 balloon. So lovely! They asked for her ID and she was thrilled to show them! What a lovely team thoughtful, fun and great cocktails. Thank you so special.

Could be improved: Rice overcooked in big solid clumps. Everything very under-seasoned and needed a lot of salt. Paneer dish bland this time. Naan very thick and doughy, so undercooked.
2017 review: Impressed by the tandoori style paneer. Great tarka dal. All round good quality of food. Service was fine for such a busy night.

Mezzanine Floor, Atrium King Street, East GrinsteadA great location in East Grinstead. A good amount of seating with numerous TV's showing sport. Some pool tables here too. Both the female staff were friendly and helpful choosing food and seating area. The food arrived in good time, was hot, tasted good, presented well and excellent quality. With so many restaurants in the area, you certainly can't go wrong here. It's perfectly located with the cinema only two floors above it too. Ideal for a bite to eat before or after a cinema showing. I'm in East Grinstead every week and will definitely call here again. Highly recommend.

Me and my partner were with his grandma, our 16 month old baby and his autistic cousin that also has celiac. She was amazing with her going through what they can offer in GF, being very good with my little one when she started moaning and brought her food out with our starters. She was polite, kind, understanding and a real credit to pizza express if you could have the Dorchester branch to be trained by her I would definitely visit so much more

Better parking than any of the other fish and chips shops in East Grinstead - like to make a quick getaway so food does not go cold!
Parking: Nearby public car park is free after 1700 if the few parking places opposite are taken.

The portion sizes were great, it was really tasty, especially the duck and the chicken balls! Some of us are vegetarian and one with a nut allergy and they were well catered for too. Really tasty food, no issues at all. Very confused by the bad reviews on here because we were very happy with the service and food!

Top Rd, Sharpthorne, East GrinsteadI love this place! I go there when I'm 'working from home', so take my lap top and set myself up for a couple of hours. Free Wifi and a relaxed, chilled vibe that is very conducive to a productive work session. It's become my weekly go-to place to work. Sweet little outside area at the back - fresh air and surrounded by pretty hanging baskets, but a covered roof so can still see my laptop screen. Coffee is delicious - apparently the owner is a coffee snob and it's clear he takes making an excellent cup of coffee very seriously! Gorgeous cakes and pastries, lovely fresh, interesting salads - and sandwiches and sausage rolls that are next-level delicious - it's always a tough call between Ross' sausage rolls and the homemade vegan sausage rolls. Staff are all really friendly and helpful and I love that the special needs adults that Pericles supports are involved in the cooking and making all the bits and pieces that adorn the cafe. Such a gem of a place. Highly recommend.

& Spa, Jarvis Felbridge Hotel, London Rd, East GrinsteadI’ve seen the reviews on here and I think they’re a bit outdated so I thought I might put my two pence and I have to say, I am really impressed. even though it was pre-orders as I came on a retreat. The service was really really nice. Food came out fast and The staff were lovely and very accommodating The food was overall really good. For starters I had calamari which I forgot to take pictures of, but it wasn’t rubbery, It was very crispy and It comes with a sweet chilli sauce which was lovely. Definitely would recommend you get that and the halloumi fries looked really delicious. I also had a taste of the sweet-and-sour chicken, which was also quite nice considering and what I was expecting. I had the fish and chips. Which I’m so glad it wasn’t as lightly battered as I thought it was gonna be the coating was hot and crispy . The fish was flakey, The chips were really hot and crispy as well. It came with mushy peas and and assortment of sauces which I believe were curry and tartar sauce but they also gave us any extra sauces that we wanted. Some people got burgers and they really enjoyed their burgers as well although The burger comes with bacon on top which we asked to have without it, but considering how big the order was we understand the confusion and it was quickly Rectified the only downside Is the desserts I got the sticky toffee pudding which was very dry, but it does come with the ice cream and some people complained of the brownie being really rich But I enjoy a very rich brownie so next time I will be getting that instead and people did enjoy the cheesecake as well, but overall I would give the restaurant a 4.5 out of five, but I’ll just give it five stars because I believe It deserves the boost. It was good food.

6 Railway Approach, East GrinsteadAfter a bit of a stay at the QVH, I had decided to give this place a try to fulfil my filthy kebab cravings before heading home many miles away sadly or it would be my regular bab shop.
Very glad I did, lamb doner was exactly what the Dr ordered after all that. All fresh, tasty and a good portion of a small, lemon wedge, salad, chilli pepper too and fairly priced.
What made it that extra special was the friendly bossman kindly gave me a banging lemon sweetie and also a tub of baklava on the house, made my day even better than the all clear. Thanks EG Charcoal Grill!
