Good welcome. Staff friendly and informative. Disappointed that three of the deserts were off the menu, including cheese board. One guest had pulled beef and thought the portion could have been larger. All other dinners were very good. One guest remarked on how well the pizza was cooked. Great surroundings.

Thoroughly impressed with our lunch visit today (Friday @1pm). Staff were a credit to the place- friendly and helpful. Food was quick to arrive and exactly as expected from our menu choices. Recommend the dessert with apple sorbet- yum! Our dog was also welcomed warmly. We will certainly visit again. Thanks!

Haven't been to this pub in a good long time mainly because the food used to be - well, not very pleasant. However, now it's run by Vintage Inns the ambience, menu choices and quality of food has improved beyond recognition. Tables are set for small to medium sized parties and secluded areas for just couples. Would highly recommend.

So disappointed! Firstly, my side salad of rocket, asparagus and pink onion arrive, it was the tiniest portion and was watercress and long stem broccoli with broad bean... No rocket or asparagus in sight! Is a restaurant allowed to serve a dish with only 1 of the 3 listed ingredients? Then my pizza of mushroom and jalapeno had maybe 5 tiny scraps of mushroom on the whole pizza. But the worst was saved for last! We ordered the berry tart. It arrived looking as if it had been dropped on the floor. The pasty case was smashed with a piece of the tart thrown back on top. It was also barely cooked and raw on the bottom. If it weren't that I'd only ordered it for my toddler and he didn't seem to mind, it would have been sent straight back.

Pub interior and garden nicely laid out. Chicken Caesar salad was quite bland and chicken strips were very dry - salad had dressing at the bottom and hadn't been tossed so that it was evenly distributed throughout the salad, so quite a disappointing dish.Strawberry fruit cider on draught was very tasty and a good edition.Efficient waiting staff.

I arrived and explained that I have a peanut allergy, I was reasurred that they don't have peanuts in the kitchen. I'm also gluten free. I have to sign a waiver on the tablet for my allergies. My aunty ordered king prawn skewers, they were undercooked. My bunless burger did not come out with the other food as someone had put it in the bun so they had to recook it for me. Overall it was just meh! Nothing special and definitely not worth the price. The waiting staff were friendly.

Absolutely amazing food and customer service. Amazing location and outdoors seating area. Can not wait for the cold weather to sit by the fire place and enjoy our diner.

Haven't been here for a while a few years actually so decided to take the family for a meal the place has had a make over since my last visit and it looks amazing the food is also very good I had the Korean style bbq chicken skewers and I highly recommend this dish it's to die for and to top it all off the staff are just brilliant service with a smile will be making more visits from now on and if you fancy something different give this place a go

Took my mum to this inn for a Mothers Day meal and it was a perfect experience. I admit that at first I wasn’t to excited by the menu options and associated prices which seemed a little steep. But the food was genuinely delightful and I’d happily pay the price again for such good quality. The Inn itself is lovely with regard to its decor and has a homely vibe. The staff were very helpful and friendly also. All in all a lovely experience.

Brilliant service, could not do enough to help me. I had issues at home with my internet, they allowed me to work from there, supported by plenty of tea for the afternoon. Life savers. Did not have food this day, but I'm sure it would off been perfect.

We visited this place a year ago and it was totally amazing food with hand crafted pizza BUT 1 year on I don’t understand how somewhere can now be so bad We ordered fish & triple cooked chips, The chips were not even cooked let alone triple cooked and the fish was so wet with the batter looking like it had frost bight from incorrect freezer storage. We ordered a pizza to takeaway at the same time as our mains and once opened back at the hotel we couldn’t believe what we had been given, it looked like a pizza from last week. I would think twice before going here for a family meal it’s chef clearly can’t cook.

Having recently moved into the area, I have been coming in here quite regularly just for a drink, and I really like it in here, it’s a nice relaxing place with a lovely outside drinking area and garden and really friendly staff, I’ll definitely keep coming back
