Fantastic country pub, lovely food and friendly staff. A real buzz when we were there, and great live music from Harry. We’ll definitely be returning soon!

I’ve just been to the Wheatsheaf for a birthday lunch and I cannot speak highly enough about this lovely pub. The food was super delicious, I had the Caribbean fish stew. Amazingly tasty, with haddock, king prawns and a lovely sauce. My husband had the all day breakfast which was equally delicious. Apparently the sausages were top notch. I followed up with cheese and biscuits with port. The Stilton was just about the best I have ever had and the pickle had a delicious hint of chilli. The service was very fast and the waitress was very polite and attentive. The pub had a log fire and the decor was very unique and well thought out. Just an excellent experience. Thank you.

What a find! A cosy, welcoming pub with an excellent restaurant. The Brazilian chef is producing dishes that compete with any restaurant in the county. Classic dishes as well as Brazilian specialties. Highly recommended.

What an incredible place. Best pub I’ve been to for years. I was even driving! Food sensational. Both mates had Brazilian fish stew and I had the Thai curry - all got smashed! Really delicious. Landlady and her staff so friendly and engaging. Recommend +++.

I’m blown away. Absolutely amazing. First time here and we are so so happy and amazed by the excellent service and stunning food which was delicious. Staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was brilliant. Everyone so friendly. Music was also brilliant. The staff constantly made sure we was always okay as well.
We went based on a recommendation, and we weren’t sorry! This charming abode has a real working fire, a wonderful atmosphere, modern and quirky features, and cheerful staff. We had two roasts and honestly I can say it’s one of the best dinners I’ve had in my life, and no I’m not just saying this! Everything was fresh, hot, full of wonderful flavours and the portion sizes were phenomenal! You get a personal experience, your unhurried and always well taken care of! We are so glad we tried this little gem, and will be back at the weekend for my birthday!!

Amazing roast!! Huge portions, so we had to take a load home. Extra gravy was served as standard (great touch) and service was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back soon.

I had the pleasure of visiting The Wheatsheaf Pub, and I couldn't wait to share my experience with you. From the moment we stepped inside, I was captivated by its charming and inviting atmosphere. The tasteful decor, adorned with rustic wooden accents and warm earth tones, creates an ambiance that is both cozy and elegant.During our visit for lunch, I was delighted by the diverse menu options available. The impeccable execution of flavors left me craving for more. The attention to detail truly shined through each dish they presented. What impressed me even more was the attentive service we received, even during the bustling lunch hours. The staff at The Wheatsheaf went above and beyond to ensure that we felt welcomed and well taken care of.I am already eagerly planning my next visit to The Wheatsheaf for dinner, as I can only imagine the culinary wonders that await me during this time.

What a lovely place. Went with a wedding party the day before the wedding itself. Child friendly, and a pirate themed playground that even as a 46 year old man, I felt like going to.Large amount of wines and beers to choose from, and the food really surprised me. When somewhere says "home made" this venue means it. I just had a burger, and it was clearly exactly as described. Delicious, and the staff couldn't do enough for us.Well worth a visit.Kid-friendliness: Pirate ship to play on!
