By far one of the best pubs in W Sussex. Service and food were fantastic as usual.

Bang average meal. Squashed in, 8 on little benches isn't cosy. Food is not the standard that's reasonable to expect and then booted off the table for the next group. Beautiful pub to be in, the rest needs work.

We were staying locally and see they had a 'lovely looking local pub' and decided the next day to take a walk down there. We were a partie of 12 a mix of adults and children (older). Upon entering the whole of the pub has every table 'reserved' but no one sat at them. We had approached the bar and asked if we can order drinks please, the lady behind the bat asked how many of us which I replied 12, she immediately stopped me as she she the children entering and said they had no space to accommodate us. I tried to to explain we had walked a distance and only wanted 1 drink then would leave she was quick to dismiss us saying no children and everybtable had been reserved despite a single lady sitting at a small table and every other table unoccupied (we would have been 20mins max) but she was adamant she weren't going to serve us because of the children even though we said we would happily sit outside in the garden. I would avoid this place at all cost bad customer service, rude staff not family friendly (should have a sigh outside stating so) probably had another issue because were not local with our accents and maybe skin colour of the children was an issue to being such a close community.

Nice country pub - did not eat there just had drinks. Good pint.

I have enjoyed a quiet beer here many times over the last 40 years. Today we were refused service supposedly because all the tables were reserved despite most of them being empty. I assume the rudeness of the staff was more to do with our accents not being a fit for the local character of the pub.

Made to feel very welcome on arrival. Roast beef was really tasty and chicken leek and bacon pie was good too. Couldn’t fault anything or anyone, staff all friendly and attentive, we had a very pleasant lunch. Thank you!

Not the best experience.Had a lovely time there previously and decided to have dinner.Waited over an hour for our food while watching other diners receive 2 courses of food.Luckily, the atmosphere and the pub in general is lovely, so it wasn't the end of the world. However, our food arrived, and it wasn't up to the standard I experienced previously.Tough duck breast with an overly salty sauce and a mediocre overpriced chicken burger. Which did come with some awesome skinny fries to be fair. The bannofee pie was also predominantly cream and very little else.We did receive a round of drinks on the house for our long wait. But we did leave disappointed overall. No fault to the staff, they were very apologetic, and having worked in hospitality briefly, I understand that sometimes things don't go as planned.

A real gem in Nuthurst, not far from Horsham in West Sussex. The food is great, the service as well, we always go back and take our friends there, too. There are not many places these days where you always want to come back, but this is one of them. Thanks to the chef for tonight's venison burger which was great and so was the chicken, leek and gammon pie. And panna cotta never fails. Hophead and Thatchers, and we were sorted, lovely. Thank you.

Disappointing Sunday roast very little meat,t two small thin slices and ok vegetables. Certainly not worth £19.95. Have had fabulous lunch here in the past. Prices are a lot more expensive than on the website. Sadly won't be going back

Had Sunday lunch poor value for money at £19.95 per head. Two thinly cut pieces of beef. The rest made up of ok vegetables. With a pint of sussex best and a pint of lime and soda. Total bill £47.90.Came out feeling Hungary and robbed.I certainly will not be going back.August 2023
