The place was very welcoming and warm plus the meals were fabulous. But most of all the staff went out of their way to help me when I suffered an asthma attack during lunch. I would like to say thank you to all of them , especially Abby who calmed me down when I was panicking and gasping for breath.Lovely place. If you are in the area I totally recommend you go thereThanks all xx

Excellent pub food with interesting menus and great value. Very hospital landlord and landlady who only want to please their customers. Highly recommended.

Only had dinner here, but it was a delicious meal and lovely service. Would definitely visit again. Beautifully decorated and a lovely atmosphere - lots of local history and war memorabilia as the decorations.Food & drinks: Had the baked Camembert, Posh Scampi and the chickpea and sweetcorn burger.

We had my mother-in-law wake here, the staff were lovely and the food was very nice, thank you to all the staff.

Just had a Sunday roast, and it was the best roast dinner we have had in years. Great portions, all really tasty. The vegetarian option was different and very good. Friendly staff and pub dog. Will definitely go again. They squeezed us in today, but it's obviously popular, so probably best to book.

A superb lunch with very friendly and welcoming staff. The ambience was wonderful, it being decorated with WWII memorabilia. It is clearly run by people who appreciate this country's great history and the sacrifices of those who gave their lives so that it could remain free, an increasingly rare thing nowadays. It is certainly now on our must visit places for a lovely atmosphere.

A perfect last minute decision to revisit a lovely country pub I last went to two or three years ago and I must say, it has only gotten better. The roast pork was outstanding, likewise for the treacle tart, as well as both being beautifully presented. This traditionally English pub is also worth a visit just for a drink, with the atmosphere vibrant and comforting and the staff very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning again

Great pub to visit as it on the cross roads of coolham. The staff are friendly and helpful.the beer garden is a good size and parking is good also. The food is ok but but is chargeable in the week but you need to tell them how you want your meat cook as it sometime not cook right.

If you are ever passing, it's well worth stopping for the food. Simply put, I wasn't expecting the quality and amazing flavours of the food. Highly recommended.
