Ordered on line and for some reason 3 special fried rice were ordered… for 2 people. An obvious error on the online part which cost £20.. for rice!Called the New Great Wall… and they said.. ‘it can be microwaved’.. microwave rice??Have been a regular customer which makes it worse. Bad customer service. Bland food. Won’t be using again. Lost a good customer.

Happy with the food from here. It seems that a lot of old reviews were from when it was under previous ownership.Each time we have ordered, the food has arrived in fair time, still hot. Also well priced so props there.Only point to mention is that they do not take card, which is frustrating if like me, you never keep any cash to hand.Will give 5* based on food quality, but make sure you have cash!

Great food but with delivery charge there was nothing left over....and £38 seems a bit high....
Order was late turning up by over an hour from when they said , half of it was missing and the rest tasted like it had been rolled across the salt flats in salt in lake city. Even sponge bob square pants would have been dehydrated after eating it

Our first time trying the New Great Wall since it has been under new management, following a recommendation by some friends. We had a number of dishes, which were all excellent - in particular the prawn toast, king prawns with ginger & spring onions and beef with broccoli. We were really impressed and delighted to now have great Chinese food available in Hurst - much better than any of the food we have had from various Chinese takeaways in burgess hill and the surrounding area. We will certainly be ordering again soon!

Staying on the Hickstead Show Ground so only 8 minutes away. But difficult parking. Very tasty meal, had set meal for 2 plus Mushroom Foo. Very well seasoned. Ready in 10 minutes. Pleasant staff and looks to be a clean establishment. Would recommend giving it a try.

Really disappointed with our meal, 4 dishes cost £30 and were not what we expected. Noodles tasted powdery and chilli based dishes just had chilli sauce on them. Won’t be using again.

About the fourth time I have ordered a delivery from here, and every time the food has been excellent in comparison with other local Chinese restaurants.Delivery has been fast and food is hot and fresh.Can highly recommend the Chicken Chop Suey, loads of chicken, the Beef Schezuan and dry ribs.My only comment would be that when they say ‘Salt and Chilli’ on some dishes, it is very salty.Would thoroughly recommend to anyone, good food, reasonable price and very polite staff.
