Hands down the best Chinese ever. Me and my boyfriend have been ordering from here for 2 years now since we found it and nothing beats it. We probably had more than 50 take aways from them. Food always early and piping hot and delicious. We tried other places and we always come back to Forbidden Palace. I can't put into words how much I love this place! Thank you guys for always providing the best food and service. You are making many people very happy ❤

The portions are very big and good for the money. I’ve only ever ordered for delivery and it has always been very fast. The main thing that’s gets me is that the chow meins are very dry which is a let down as that is my favourite. Still order here a lot though haha just don’t get your hopes too

I was surprised to see so many bad reviews. Ordered for the first time and it is easily the best crispy chilli beef I have ever had. Was very nice to have the option of thick noodles or thin egg noodles as most Chinese don’t give you a choice. It wasn’t the cheapest however, I am happy to say it does represent value for money considering the high quality and generous portion sizes. The lady delivering my food was also very friendly.

Ordered from Just Eats.. service gets 5 star as delivery driver friendly. Prawn toast greasy, tastes of fat and veg rice tastes of nothing. Poor show. Could do much better, disappointing

We ordered a takeaway tonight. Wished I read the reviews before hand. It was horrid. Special rice was so salty and chicken curry was like it had a whole pot of pepper in it. Prawn toast was burnt and convinces it was just bread and sesame seeds. Spring roll was full of garlic and all of it was unedable. What a waste of £40. Avoid avoid avoid people

Front entrance door handle filthy dirty including the glass entrance door. This "restaurant" has only a 3 star Food hygiene rating which means they have had official warnings. 10% service charge automatically added whether you agree or not. Do not go to this over priced dirty chip shop

Collection takeaway, listed as 30min wait but ended up waiting 1h 20m. Food was fine but the wait was silly, walked in twice told be told it will be another 10min wait each time...

Absolutely vile!!! Do not waste your money here. The prawns were rock hard and the batter around them was crunchy and stale. Clearly just been sat there for ages and the lamb in the curry some bits were jelly fat and others were rock hard. The lady on the phone had absolutely no clue and she sounded about 12. She didnt even know what a trades button was. Please do not waste your money here.

The food was of poor quality I'm afraid to say. The rice tasted off and the thai main dish was watery. The egg rice tasted like it had been reheated and looked brown. I wouldn't order from here again.

We have eaten here for many years. Unfortunately the quality of the food has gone down hill fast. From wet chicken, in the chicken balls. To wet duck, almost like it was boil in a bag food and the bags split. The salt nd pepper ribs and prawns were burnt. But the biggest shame was the girl serving behind the counter, being bullied by the kitchen boy. To the point we saw her crying. While the girl working with her just laughing. We will know longer be eating at the forbidden Palace, or ordering there takeaways,, Massive disappointment

What an awful place! The order took nearly 3 hours to arrive, despite saying an hour and a half. We then called the restaurant to ask where it was, we got no apology and were told at 21.30 that the traffic was awful. The lady was extremely incompetent and there was no offer of recompense and we will 100% not be returning!

Food has gone downhill recently. Orders are always wrong but cost is going through the roof. Sad because they were fab for ages but not anymore. The photo below is supposed to be bean sprout chow mien but is quite obviously Singapore chow mein and was so hot I couldn’t eat it.Update: So today 16/09/22 we thought we’d give this place a seconds chance. Big mistake, order was wrong and very very greasy. Ordered special fried rice and got pork chow mein. Bye bye Forbidden palace, never again.

Honestly worst salt and pepper squid ever tasted. Way too much salt snd pepper, initially pleased it was crispy but was so crispy they killed it. Should have read the other reviews before ordering. 100% disgusting, could only just stomach 3 small pieces, same for my boyfriends portion too - waste of £15

Ordered 2 dishes paid £5 delivery at 7pm… 9:10pm I’m still waiting for it. Called twice and both times said should be there in 10 mins. Wouldn’t even bother ordering from here.
