Food & drinks: Bubble and squeak with sausages and eggs very yummy! And the staff can make a good Bloody Mary too. Cosy pub and quiet on a wet and windy Thursday lunchtime

Met up with a friend was very happy with the location and the inside. Disappointed with the beers non really to my taste. Tribute,Doombar or Harveys are my preferance.

We had the roast and it was cold. I also have a young baby and there was no changing facilities so had to change her on the floor in the toilets. Which obviously I wasn't happy about doing. We also over charged twice for the same thing. But on a good noted it was in a lovely place and great staff.

This is a Beautiful country pub. The garden is lovely, with plants, flowers and tree's. Very relaxing surroundings. The food is excellent, and the staff are friendly. Dogs are also welcome. Would strongly recommend.

Fabulous place to stay. Traditional country pub with amazing food, friendly staff. The room was a good size with lots of little extra’s, and breakfast was freshly cooked and all local produce!Stayed for 2 nights as we were going to a wedding, so glad we found it, would definitely stay again!Rooms: Rooms were very clean and comfortable with added touches!Food & drinks: Food was excellent!

Last time we went we had a young dog who was so noisy, we had to escape to the garden for lunch. Same dish this time, mushrooms and Stilton with pepper corn sauce. Excellent as a light lunch. This is a traditional lunch with charming staff, a broad menu and excellent food. I was very envious I didn’t get to have any of the onion scraps with the local sausages ! Bought some local honey too, looking forward to trying that.

Lovely pub, well maintained gardens, cosy interior. The beer is top notch & the food is excellent value for down south. The landlady & staff are very accommodating food-wise & can amend the dishes to suit their customers. One of our favourite stops for lunch & a drink.

We popped in for a drink and a quick lunch. The menu was varied and enticing. We chose a ploughman's (ham and cheese) and a stilton and mushroom tiasted bagette. Both were delicious!! I had a pint of Flowers bitter, which was excellent.
