Really good food in a beautiful country pub with a crackling fire. The menu was small but perfectly formed and everyone enjoyed their meals. The service was a tiny touch on the slow side, but they were really friendly and left us to chat for as long as we wanted at the end.

We have been a few times really enjoyed the food I enjoyed fish and chips a really light batter with crispy chips my husband had a homemade Xmas pie which had a good pie crust filled with turkey stuffing and ham . Friendly professional service I would highly recommend this pub . Situation - idyllic English village we walked around the church which is worth a visit.

The atmosphere and service are divine. Gorgeous, quaint, classic country pub. Food was fine.

Lovely old country pub. We came here for lunch with friends and booked ahead. The staff were welcoming and friendly, but the service was incredibly slow, and the food was pretty disappointing. I had the crab cakes starter with a house salad. They were awful, frankly. There was no discernable crab meat in them, just a gummy paste rolled in breadcrumbs. The side salad was very unimaginative--lettuce, tomatoes, and spring onions with a boring vinaigrette. My husband and son had the burger, which they said was tasty, but overcooked. Lunch (one course each) for 6 with a couple of drinks each (two of us weren't drinking alcohol, and two people had only one drink each) was almost £200, which I thought was overpriced for the quality of the food.

Good food, great atmosphere, great location.... but fully priced. In a previous review I sort of moaned about the prices but actually having been there many times in recent years, I have to say it is worth it. It is fully priced but they are fair - really can't beat the location and the vibe.Just a great place with many happy memories there.

I had lunch at Noah's Ark yesterday. I had not been there before. It is a charming pub in a beautiful village. The staff were welcoming and the menu was impressive. However, the quality of the food was SO disappointing. I had sticky cod with pak choi and carrots in a soy and chilli sauce. Well....there was nothing sticky about the cod fillet - it had a top coating of some sort of tasteless jelly with seeds and the sauce was like soy and very hot chilli in water with absolutely no taste or flavour at all. And, if I'm correct, there were meant to be toasted nuts but I couldn't find any. An expensive £24 main dish. Sadly, I will not be returning.

Fabulous pub that I have been to many times BUT I went for lunch today and had a very disappointing meal, tasteless grey looking crab cakes , pink arancini which was fine they had beetroot in them, but bland , both dishes actually resembled mash potato, but sadly didn’t taste as

We have paid many a visit to this quintessential British Country Pub and it has always proved to be a real delight . On this occasion the visit was a Late Sunday lunch which was sublime as ever . 2 Courses Enjoyed and we retired to the bar , a great place to relax. John is a real delight and a great asset to the business, all staff are fantastic and nothing is too much effort. Great food , Great Staff , a Great British Country Pub .

What more could you want. A setting overlooking the cricket pitch in a quaint village. A cosy interior with log fires and a lovely atmosphere. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive which combined with fantastic food made for a great afternoon for us all. Thank you to all at the Noah’s Ark.
