A well kept old school boozer reasonably busy for a Tuesday afternoon. Good service and a well kept Guinness, wasn't that inviting inside especially as I had a child with me so we sat in the garden. Glad pubs like this still exist for the local community.

Stopped off for lunch before a funeral at the nearby Crem. The steak and ale pie was awesome and arrived quickly. The whole place is a lovely clean environment.Only downside was the interaction from the staff......I know it was busy but a smile and a "hello" or "goodbye" goes a long way.

I stopped here around 2016 during a massive storm. My Triumph Spitfire was flooded and the engine would not start. Someone in the pub leant me a spark plug socket and tools to rescue my car. I now know which pub it was. Great pub and those who helped. Thank

Had to send the meal back as it was not as requested. The roast potatoes had been microwaved and was very soft and not crispy. It was a long wait for the food but there was lots of people in. The restaurant was full and had to go in the bar area.

Not been for a long time. Very friendly landlady and staff. Very traditional pub feel. Great selection on the bar.

What lovely food ? couldn't fault it. I had liver and bacon half portion. Food hot , still plenty on the plate. Lovey service too. Definitely be backVegetarian options: My friend had lasagne. Looked amazing must have been good as clean plateParking: Parking in car park of pub but plenty street parking. Wide country roadWheelchair accessibility: Yes at the back. Let staff know and they will open door. Good idea to let them know on booking so your table is reserved near the entrance with no steps
