Update: Back for another car club meeting and ever grateful for the huge car park and filling food. We'll be there next month which should tell you all you need to know!With a huge car park, (so great for car or bike clubs), friendly staff, unpretentious food & refreshments, all in decent portions make it a great stop off or meeting place. I had breakfast this time but the freshly cooked liver and onions I had last time for a mid week lunch was superb..Update - went back for lunch a run out and had a very filling lunch with lots of fresh, superbly cooked vegetables accompanying a cottage pie, followed by a chocolate sponge pudding with custard to die for.This place is seriously good at what it does!

Car wash I had my 4 x 4 washed this evening. I received an extremely poor wash and Poor service. I will have to check the paint work for scratches tomorrow in day light.

Just used the café, not the car wash. The café was bonkers. It was like stepping back in time. I loved it. Really basic but what we got for what we paid was great.It is what it is and I’d definitely go back.
Stopped here whilst riding my motorbike with a friend ! Easy parking and reasonably priced, they do english breakfast and coffee etc. Its a classic roadside caffee

We had roasts, lovely fresh veg, and about 5 or 6 varieties, BUT deep fried potatoes, a shoddy frozen Yorkshire and I dred to think of the cut of pork they used, it was grisly, had sinue and other ? bits ( I had to leave well over half the meat), shame as it looked lovely until I discovered this. Dad had the pie he said it was beautiful, this also came with x5veggies. Hubby ate my potatoes and Yorkshire so pic only shows the sinuie meat. Its renown for its fryups, so perhaps a roast is a step to far, but such a shame as those fresh veggies were really a pleasure to eat. I doubt if we will be back though.

A strange experience. Arrived and a man told me it would be £45 to clean my car inside and outside, haggled him down to 40 but then was charged 35 - obviously trying his luck. The people cleaning it spent a good deal of time doing so, so I’m utterly baffled how they did such a shoddy job of the interior - picture attached. Avoid.
