I'm so sorry to not have written a review earlier but i wanted to shout out Kerrie and Ollie and their team. My partner and I, along with our families have ad several birthday meals at Swiss cottage over the last 6 months. My partners mum can only eat off a gluten free menu so was delighted to hear of theirs. They've taken great care in ensuring our dietary needs as a family were met, food has been brought out swiftly and fresh and without issues which for a table of 9-12 people, that's really something to be proud of, we don't always make it easy! Thank you team. Looking forward to the next birthday do.

Popped in today (Boxing Day) with my parents and husband without a reservation and everything has been lovely! They were clearly very busy but all was good. Service at the bar was prompt and friendly and the food looked so good we decided to stay. We had two risottos and two burgers and everyone enjoyed everything. My parents are local so we'll definitely be back again soon.

Credit where credit’s due. I visited this establishment today after a misunderstanding at a care home regarding taking my partners disabled father out for drinks for Christmas. The manager Kevin bent over backwards to accommodate our needs and made my father in laws Christmas. Each and every one of his team were equally as accomodating. Very welcoming, very professional, I highly recommend the Swiss Cottage for drinks or a family meal.

Visited on Christmas Day with my family - I am not from the area I went to visit my dad on Christmas Day and take him out for a Christmas drink/dinner from his nursing home - My dad is in a wheel chair and it was disabled friendly - it was very busy but at the same time a very calm happy atmosphere - the food was great and staff were very welcoming - great food and atmosphere thank you to all especially kevin the manager who made us feel very welcome

Our large group of friends were made to feel welcome for our Christmas meal and the staff most friendly, going out of their way to ensure that our visit was most enjoyable. The menu choice was good, the meals large and very filling and all together good value for money. The attention to detail they gave when booking earlier in November was also much appreciated. Had a fantastic time here with the family. The kids had a great time feeding the ducks and looking at all the Xmas decorations. The whole place made us feel very welcome and the food was amazing too.

A really poor and disappointing birthday dinner. We had a very long wait. My dinner was very poorly cooked. They took off the charge for it and were professional and polite but it spoilt my birthday evening. They offered me a free dessert but I don't eat dessert Someone else in my group risked it though and liked it. It's cold n the place so much that they offer blankets to use in there. They seem musty as if they could do with a good wash Certainly I won't go back
Lovely pub/restaurant, good place for a group of people ,ie celebrating a birthday . Good variety on menu, food could have been a wee bit hotter, but was ok.Value fir money. Outside area ,very impressive play area for children lots of outside seating and tables ,perfect in summer. Best bit for us was the big pond, you can buy food over the counter and feed the Ducks and fish so amusing.Parking: Joined the pubKid-friendliness: Plenty of children there ,things for them to do,best in summer apparently a big play area.Wheelchair accessibility: Straight in the door.

We went to the Swiss Cottage for a family Birthday and had such a lovely time, the food was amazing and very reasonably priced , the staff were really friendly and was just such a lovely atmosphere! I would highly recommend going here and will be booking to go again soon

Tammy was an excellent server, food was good and I would have left 5 Stars but we had to cancel my dessert as we had fi leave before they were able to serve it. Hopefully on my next visit time won't be such an issue.

Really nice atmosphere. Food was brilliant. Tegan is a brilliant waitress, from taking our order straight away to making sure our food was OK and triple checking if we needed anything. Really lovely restaurant. Very good quality for the price and service. Will be back :)

What a bunch of happy customers we are after our first time at the Swiss, would love to say the manager was super friendly and was helping out everywhere, the waitresses and front of house staff were honestly incredible and couldn’t ask for a better service. Now the food, honestly was mouth watering, so much flavour great punctuality and just piping hot, fresh and just amazing. Everything since walking through the door we were made to feel welcome. The view of the lake was just so calming and such a happy environment. Would come here again and would highly recommend the food!! High quality!!Great parking area and also we’re great with fitting to any requirements as had a few questions but wasn’t needed to order anything with any food intolerance but they don’t rush you or push you out in any ways.Honestly great local pub and will be going back many times after.
