Visited here this morning, my breakfast was ok but would like to suggest it would be a good idea if we could order items separately, would save alot of food waste !!!! Most other cafes I've visited do this!!! Also the food got cold very quickly due to the overhead fan !!!

Absolutely adore this place! Love visiting on a friday or Saturday evening for a drink to wind down and the food offering is 2nd to none! Fab hosts, a gem of a bar. Oh and the breakfasts are fab too!

We love visiting The Orange Tree. What's great is that it has 2 identities. A lovely daytime cafe with good food and drinks and a laid back evening bar for drinks, a weekly quiz or weekend entertainment with food.

Super friendly which is great for us being new to the area. We didn't have food but food coming out looked smashing.

Love this place, it's fun being able to order from the kitchen outside and eat inside with drinks ordered from the bar. It creates a lovely fun atmosphere and is a bit different. Definitely recommend. We had the nicest, poshest chicken burgers!

Lovely breakfast with nice little touches. Lots of grilled Tom's with herbs, nice sausages and bread. I'm often disappointed with veggie breakfasts but I really liked this one. Perfect poached eggs too.

Hands down… the BEST jacket potato I’ve ever had in a cafe! And it wasn’t a fluke as I’ve had it twice now and both times were delicious! ?The staff are all lovely and there’s such a super community vibe too!+ the Christmas tree still being is a total win in my book ?I’d highly recommend for lunch and cuppas ???

I have previously visited the Orange Tree on a number of occasions, including last October when the Simply Veg food van was there one Saturday night…great food by the way!..Always enjoy my visits and easily my favourite place for great coffee and food (I live in Hove and travel over to Ferring especially)..I visited this morning with my sister and her partner, who drove all the way over from Eastbourne. Due to be closed over the New Year, the team were waiting on a food delivery for some items. My sister is vegan, so we ordered the village green breakfast.. without the eggs for my sis. Because the food delivery hadn’t arrived, there were no veggie sausages. However, a team member popped to the local shops to buy some.. and whist we had to wait a bit longer for our food, all three of us were given complimentary hot drinks.. nothing seemed too much trouble..! You would be amazed at the number of cafes that don’t even have sunflower spread to cater for vegans too.. and of course the Orange Tree do…love this place! Thanks to the team..and a happy and peaceful 2024..

We used to love this place; and it’s still ok. Fine for coffee and the limited food menu is nice food. Unfortunately they stopped doing their kids menu, so it’s now pretty terrible for families. Whilst they can make a small cheese sandwich it’s not really what my toddler wants (he wants the old sandwich and kids crisps and chocolate and fruit shoot and fruit they used to do). Sometimes they have kid friendly food like sausage rolls on, but you don’t know until you get there. It’s a real shame as there is a lack of simple family friendly food places in the area. It’s not cheap either. The new refurb makes it a really nice evening bar, but I personally preferred it before. If you are an adult group in the area wanting a cafe lunch I recommend it, but if you have kids not so much.Kid-friendliness: It isn’t really anymore unfortunately. No kids menu.
