We came for Mothering Sunday lunch , I was very disappointed with the meal my husband found a hair In His dinner , the waitress laughed and said sure it’s not from ur head !! Seeing his bald thats highly unlikely. She offered him a drink on the house . No offered not charging him his meal and no real apology other than a joke ! Won’t be returning thats for sure !

Hey traveled from Leeds to come down for the Sunday roast which has been a massive hype. Well may I say it was amazing I absolutely loved it. The only thing was where is the stuffing lol but other than that unreal. Thanks to you all for the hospitality I'm sure in time I'll be back one day for more.

Our first visit for Sunday lunch and boy did it not disappoint. From the staff to the food is was outstanding! The staff were all super friendly and lovely, I had Roast Pork and I have to say it was by far the best I have had and I know my fellow diners felt the same about their choices too, highly recommend, proper pub with fantastic staff and food what’s not to like. Many thanks once again.. The captain and crew will most definitely be back.

Delicious 'proper ' pub grub. The sausage and mash is outstanding. Gallons of onion gravy, creamy mash, roasted veg and super sausages. The steak & ale pie was also delicious.

Dietary restrictions: Not the first time I’ve been here because its good to see tasty gluten free options on a menu and at the bar. None of the taste taken away by making something GF. Even a GF crumble pudding, never seen that before, although I was too full after the burger - so I’ll be back. Very helpful & friendly staff.
Had an absolutely cracking Sunday Roast at The Egremont today. Brilliant portions and everything was cooked perfectly. Great drinks to boot and very friendly service.

Monday night birthday celebration. Great food and service. Brilliant burgers! Quiet but to be expected on Monday. Another night out with family. Great service, had to go elsewhere but have us a great recommendation. What lovely staff!
