“Halfway house seems to have changed a lot since I was there last maybe 6 years ago. I find it much more pleasant , with very friendly staff and great food for the price. It was a little quite as it was Tuesday but the food was still great, whereas some places have a different chef on a quieter night. Drink choices were good too. All in all, a really night placeDietary restrictions: One of our party had a relatively strict dietary requirement but the pub had a tablet which would add or remove items depending on the requirement. “We ate in the bar area as it was a quiet Thursday. 6 of us ate, 4 shared 2 Chateaubriand as it was on offer at £35 per couple. The starters were OK but the mains were excellent. Service was first class.”
