I've just had my Christmas dinner at The Malt, I knew the management team and staff were excellent, but today they went above and beyond my expectations. It was the first Christmas without Mum and two days before the 1st anniversary. I got up feeling lost and empty and they have more than contributed to making the day more than bearable. I'm Vegan, the food was good, (the soup and chocolate torte were yummy),the service and atmosphere was excellent and I cant thank them enough....read full review
We had a pre Christmas meal here before the mad rush of the real one. The table we had was beautifully set and in prime position in front of the open fire. The Christmas meal was fabulous, we had a lovely time. The barman that served us was so efficient and friendly, I wish that I had asked his name, he is a massive asset to the pub.

Visited the Malt shovel recently with husband on a Saturday evening for a meal and Karaoke/Music.Cozy atmosphere, bar staff friendlyFood was good, drinks average price.Great Karaoke night, good sound system, friendly DJ, shame it's only once a month.Adequate Seating inside and outside.Small car park at rear of pub, we couldn't get a space, so parked across the road on a car park behind the shops.Will visit again.
