We have been here a few times but this will be my second review. So here goes, my Daughter and Granddaughter and their respective partners took us to The Classic Persian for my Wife's Birthday (I won't tell 'em which one love). It was early evening, bloody freezing and we were glad to get inside into the warm. Last week I booked to go to The Wyke Lion as they were doing a half price Kebab deal on the 18th of January but a couple of days after we called at my Daughters and in the conversation She said keep the 17th of January free as we are taking you to The Classic Persian for a meal for Mum's Birthday (great I thought, kebabs two nights on the trot) anyway. We were seated straight away and our order was taken by The Owners niece. The Kebabs are always very good and tonight was no exception, they come with white rice topped with a little saffron rice and a small salad. The rice can be exchanged for fries or a naan bread. I opted for fries with my Lamb Kebabs (£ 19.90)and a Naan bread (£ 1.80) on the side. One Kebab was Minced Lamb and the other was Fillet of Lamb but they were delicious ( my own personal preference would be to have them with more hot spice but that can be slightly compensated for with the chilli sauce provided) Daughter and Hubby had the gargantuan Mixed Kebab which is a sight to see at around £ 42.00, Wife, Granddaughter and Grandson to be all had the Chicken variants and all plates cleared. Total cost for six of us was around £150.00 and well worth the cost. Service was excellent, staff very attentive and later the Boss came over and had a good chat with us and it seems a little bird told him it was My Wife's Birthday and much to her embarrassment he played the happy birthday song and brought out a small baklava thingy with a candle on top (it wasn't me! who told them) All in all a great night, excellent value and service, very happy to recommend. Go on, book it, you won't be sorry.

Excellent Persian food as always. Gets very busy so book in advance. Can be quite noisy with parties and service slow as a result

Been waiting years to come here & kept missing out with it being fully booked. Pretty much full on a Wednesday evening so book ahead. Party of 10 of us visited and we had a blast. The hot & cold mixed starters were so tasty but nothing compared to the mains. Everything was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Its a bring your own alcohol restaurant as they serve soft drinks only. The staff were super friendly and everything was done at just the right pace. Can't wait to return.

Whilst having been a number of times over the years, I haven't visited Classic Persian in a few years. I'm pleased to say that the quality has not dropped.Five of us dined and all were very happy with the food and service.

Food 7/10Food was nice, I got the chicken and meat skewer. Chicken was tender but the meat was slightly tougher, but I guess that is how meat is. No complaints really, chips and salad for side was great. I did get the chicken roll starter which was not great, I should have opted for cheese rollsService 6/10The waiters english wasnt very good. Regardless food was brought out in good time and tables were cleaned and given out accordingly (starters to main)Atmosphere 7/10Newly refurbished upstairs lightly isnt too dark nor light which gives a nice ambient feeling.Overall 7/10Nice place to go for Persian food, little to no complaintsVegetarian options: Halal foodParking: There are plenty of parking in the business car park but was full in my last visit

I ordered kebab makhsoos that included one skewer of lamb fillet and one skewer of mince lamb. They came with salad and rice. The portion of rice was not enough even for one skewer! It was too little. However, the food tasted delicious. It was so good. I also ordered baklava that tasted awesome. The service, manager and staff were nice.Wheelchair accessibility: There was a ramp from the street to the floor of the restaurant. I believe a wheelchair can go in easily but not sure.

Delicious food and always a busy place. It's worth a visit. You can normally park down a side street if the carpark is full.

Great atmosphere, great quality meats/ingredients used and plenty of choice. But just a personal preference the seasoning/marinade is very light in taste and a bit bland.
