The 4x young staff,14-16 approx, were swamped by Just eat orders( reduced to tears), with delivery men clogging up the little space inside. No adults on the premises to deal with anything.

Went for breakfast this morning and what a shambles. I really hope it was a one off for them as its our local for a breakfast treat. Ordered quickly, one coffee, one frappe and 2 breakfasts. Coffee came quick enough, no frappe for another 20 minutes when coffee was nearly 3/4 drunk. Told after ordering food would take longer than normal due to a lot of online orders, no problem, we weren't in a rush. Table of 4 came in after us who had reserved, told food would be about a 30 minute wait, they got up and left. While we were waiting 3 separate people waited over 30 minutes for simple breakfast sandwich orders. I asked for 3 things taken off my breakfast and asked if i could replace with an extra hash brown instead but if not its fine as I know some places don't do substitutes, got told it was fine. Bill comes and extra hash brown was added. When I questioned it they told me they don't do substitutes and I said thats why I asked if it was okay and they said yes. Nothing but a simple “sorry” whispered from the server. I wasn't going to argue over 60p and could tell the servers were having a terrible time. Proper training needs giving to the 2 girls up front especially the younger looking one of them, both running round like headless chickens not knowing how to handle the situations.

We had been going to this cafe every couple of weeks for around 6 months. Firstly the breakfast it self is fantastic the ingredients are quality and the taste is really good. Eggs cooked well, quality bacon, black pudding and sausage. The toast is a little dry but for the breakfast itself I would give it a 9.5/10.We went as usual excited to get the large breakfast which included a tea (which was normally around the £10 mark odd) and we get there and it has gone up around £3. Now I am willing to pay as it was a really nice breakfast but others on the table aren’t and already put off by large increase. I know things have gone up but I don’t get how you can do such a sudden increase of 30% on it. Anyhow like I said I wouldn’t be put off as it is a nice breakfast, we decided to get the small b fast to save money. We came toorder, one of us doesn’t like sausages on the table, as normal we ask if we can swap this but the waitress says no. Now I am bit taken back so we say oh, well we won’t swap it for a bit of bacon just a hash brown thinking we’ll that be more acceptable even though really swapping a sausage for a bit of bacon in my opinion is perfectly fair. ( I can understand not swapping a hash brown or something like that for bacon or sausage)The answer was no, we can’t swap items you would have to buy them extra! We proceeded without buying extra items and we just ended up swapping items between us to accommodate ourselves. What a shame is all I can say I think I personally could cope with the price rises even though a large amount suddenly but not to be an able to swap like for like too. I would go back but I can’t really take anyone else I know back to the place as sure they swap and item.Tried to give a fair star rating as like I said twice above it is a nice breakfast.

Visited today and orders beans on toast and pancakes with Nutella and bananas. Beans were cheap and tasteless, pancakes were the Aldi, microwave ones. For the price I’d expect better quality and homemade pancakes. Spoke to the waitress who was lovely however the owner wouldn’t speak to us and let the poor girl serving deal with my frustration. Especially when she said they can only offer 10% off and we only ended up with about 30p off as it wasn’t worked out correctly. I’d avoid especially of ordering English food as they seem to put little effort into that.
