Came tonight for a meal with my wife. Food was excellent and service was excellent too. Really enjoyed it and will be back soon.

Visited for a family carvery. The meal was ok. They offer a choice of pork, gammon, turkey, or beef and a selection of veg and tatties. Meat was nice enough. Yorkshires were a highlight. Vegetables weren't peeled. Parsnips weren't nice. Mash is smash, but that tends to be the norm. Go to Heathfield instead. Food is better and more tasty - it can be very busy being a downside, but you'll enjoy your meal.

We were a party of 18 for a family birthday and we had lots of room, the table setup was 3 tables which worked really well. We had hoards of young children and they were able to move about without disturbing other diners.Various food related issues all catered for with your extensive menu.Staff were very polite and patient with our nonsense.Well Done Bobbin Carrier, see you again soon ?

Booked a table for 18 & needed two extra places, no trouble at all for staff. We were placed in an area away from main room so it felt quite comfortable being such a large group. There was a bit of a hold up with a couple of people's food ordered from the menu rather than carvery but it didn't matter as there was a lot of conversation to be had!The food got a ? and overall agreat time was had by all!

Came here tonight on Christmas eve with my wife. Pub generally not busy but had to wait over 30 mins for main meal. Then had to wait 40 mins for two desserts one being ice-cream. Toilet near children's area not checked and was filthy. Never seen so many staff doing nothing. Staff walking around chewing either gum or her tongue which didn't look very nice. Shambles.

The carvery was much hotter than normal. We requested some mustard for the beef and the barman said that he'd bring it over to our table - unfortunately he never did. I have no idea why mustard isn't on show like the other condiments and why we have to request this everytime that we visit. As nobody approached us during our meal, we also had to look around several other tables for some pepper. On the way out, we noticed that the barman who'd promised us the mustard was now serving on the carvery counter so had obviously forgot about us. Overall, we were happy that the food was hot but as we were neglected during a time when the pub wasn't busy made us feel rather insignificant.

Not happy when first opened as Silver Birch. But have been twice in the last week and all is much improved. Will be regular visitors now. First Class ~ Well Done.Parking: Always available spaces

Absolutely looked after from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The staff and the food were excellent and even though we were a big party everyone got served in good time.

Great service, booked a table for 9 originally but had to bump it up to 12. Did this really well. Nice food and ambience

We were met by professional and welcoming staff, who showed us straight to our table there were 8 of us including 3 children .Where we were sat was enough space for the kids not to feel cramped. We only booked for drinks but on arrival we decided to eat our food arrived in a timely fashion and two children and one adult enjoyed a very substantial well cooked cavary. All in all an enjoyable experience at a reasonable price and we will return again .

Service from the staff was okay, but it seemed that there was a huge lack of them. Ordered on the app/web UI and it took 20 minutes for 2 drinks to arrive. It took just over an hour for the food to arrive too, I can understand long wait times in a restaurant but over an hour plates is shocking.

I had a special voucher giving my 30% off my food bill as I have never been to this place before, to be honest I was surprised how close it is to me so we thought we would give it a try.The parking was great and we were really looking forward to a birthday meal.On entering it looked great and there was two young ladies behind the counter. We waited at the bar for a while however I was not approached at all and couldnt understand why not as both of the ladies didnt appear to be that busy.We were not offered a menu or approached to buy drinks. We did have a look at the menu which we got ourselves but still not approached by anyone.I couldnt believe this so we ended up putting down the menus and walking out.To be honest I cannot rate the food, but the customer service was bad enough to make us feel unwelcomed especially on a birthday meal.We ended up going across the road to another pub, and were greeted straight away by a friendly girl who showed us straight to a table and took our drinks order.Such a shame though as we wasted a voucher at this pub.Just a tip ... Please acknowledge future customers and make them feel special, its the little touches that make all the difference
