Very disappointed today as been many times and always enjoyed it . Travel 40 mins to go there . After been asked to change time by pub and receiving email confirmation we were asked why we were an hour later on arrival and “ we’ve been ringing you “ no calls received and plenty of spare tables anyway. Food 45 mins to arrive with no warning or apology . Food was nice as usual but sadly our experience was spoilt when I was charged full price for a meat dinner when I only age veg and Yorkshire puddings . Young girl checked and was told price was correct . I queried with manager “ as meat is the expensive part of the meal for her to argue with me “ actually vegetables just as expensive these days “ then add” we will loose out and staff have worked hard in the kitchens all day”! She reluctantly agreed to “ give you two quid off “ after stood getting increasingly humiliated in the corridor . After purchasing , mains, puddings , drinks and a bottle of wine that was our Easter Day tarnished .*** update ** I certainly was not given extra portions and no I do not want to reach out to discuss thank you . I note there was no mention of error with booking time or 45 minute wait for food .

First visit today for Mother's Day. The food was brilliant and my Mum enjoyed the Old Mill Beer. We ate in the conservatory part of the restaurant. Great atmosphere. But the stand out part of our visit was the friendliness of the staff. Extremely polite and couldn't do enough for you.Parking: We dined at 12.30pm and although the car park was busy, we found spaces.

I called to catch up with a few of my friends have a few pints of real ale there was a good atmosphere because of the live football game but was disappointed with the amount of swearing ? two of my three pints of blonde was very tarty and one was like nectar I ended up with indigestion never mind I definitely won’t be drinking here again

Visited here while seeing some relatives. Had the roast meal which was delicious and freshly cooked. Spent a few hours here after eating, staff were very good and looked after us. In all very good time was had by all.
