Possibly very nice if you're wanting to eat, however if you're wanting a drink or more specifically a drink with a pub-like atmosphere, then keep walking.

Been past this so many times, but never been in. Phoned up last minute and they could squeeze us in. Plenty parking, excellent service and food was brilliant. Would definitely stop by again.

Menu looked promising. A mixture of traditional pub food and more exotic dishes. The Korean egg starter was tasty and flavoursome. Unfortunately the toasted cheese stack was very stodgy and bland and the scone like base didn't really work for me. The flatbread was huge and filling but would have preferred it wiih a tomato sauce base instead of the sweet onion chutney. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. The decor is traditional and clean and lovely views. There is a car park. The music was a bit annoying at times, a mixed play list but some of the songs weren't very relaxing, especially as the clientele were mostly elderly. A nice bar area and dog friendly.
4 of us went for a Saturday lunch, 2 meals were good, 1 OK and one very disappointing. My wife has the seabass, which was just about okMy son had the sirloin steak, which gets a big thumbs upMy uncle has the fish and chips and likewise a thumbs up.I had probably the worst steak pie ever, literally a top crust pie, with virtually no meat, floating in a large dish of gravy with mushy peas also floating in the gravy. Chips were wrinkled and cold. There were just two people serving, so everything was a bit slow, and I had to ask for menus twiceAnyway, steak and fish and chips were solid 4s, the seabass a 3 and the a 1 for the pie, overall a 3.

Travelling on the way back from Yorkshire needed somewhere for food on the way home.. Only did a main course but it was really good, had the Steak and Ale Pie, with garden peas, 6 in group and we couldn’t finish the bowl of chips that came out. Really nice pie, piping hot and chips were hand cut skins on and cooked spot on…. Wish we weren’t in the middle of a long journey would have done a desert.. Very good value for money.. Service was great. Nice outdoor area with village cricket pitch to the back so great to hang around for drink outside in nice weather.. Really impressed ?
