Whether it's Curry, Burger, Pizza or Kebab - this family run business provides a superb range of tasty food for very reasonable prices.
Always a friendly service when ordering by phone and collecting a short time later.
If you want to tweak a regular order to your own tastes, they are always willing to pander to the customer's needs.

Food was a little slow because the staff were late opening up due to a delay on the motorway but was absolutely delicious when it arrived, so again not a problem for us.
Staff very friendly and helpful in choosing a recommended dish.

Spring Gardens Takeaway
90 Elland Ln, EllandI've used Spring Gardens Takeaway for over 20 years and have always had wonderful curries. My favourite is chicken and spinach with chapatis and rice. The kids love to have kebabs and pizza. The food is always provided hot and on time. The staff are always polite and helpful. A totally top place and well recommended. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

4 Ridge View, EllandHey,Was looking for some Coeliac stuff to bake a cake for a friend and not kill them. The guys on the stall were helpful and had everything I needed there. They even offered to bake the cake for me so I could pick it up next week, which on reflection would have saved me hours tidying up the kitchen.

Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurants and Takeaway
90-92 Southgate, EllandJust exploring Chinatown and saw the cocktail sign. I love legacy small businesses and decided to check it out. It was around 3:00 in the afternoon and was very quaint and quiet. You could tell there's a lot of history here. I asked the bartender how long they've been in business. 60 years! I'd love to come back and have another quiet cocktail.

Three people ate from the donner meat tray, I wasn't expecting it to be so large! The donner was very flavourful, and I loved the chilli sauce.
The salad was fresh and delicious, I'll order more of it next time.
Fast service, I went in store to order and barely had time to sit down.

You get absolutely loads of food and the different veg, mash, roasties, meat etc is put into separate containers which I thought was really good too.

Yorkshire Spice is absolutely fantastic. The food is always fresh, warm, and beautifully presented. Even a simple doner kebab comes thoughtfully packaged in a white paper bag and neatly placed inside a takeaway box, the attention to detail really stands out.
The atmosphere is pleasant, and the owner is a genuinely lovely guy. He’s friendly, welcoming, and always makes an effort to chat. He even knows my order now, I don’t have to say a word! It really shows how much he values his customers.
He may be relatively new to the area, but he’s clearly putting in the effort, from fitting a new counter to continually improving the place. The cleanliness is excellent, the presentation is spot on, and the prices are very reasonable.
I’ve been multiple times now, and every single visit has impressed me even more. If anything, the food just keeps getting better.
So far, so good, not disappointed me in any way. Definitely worth a try. Well done to him for the hard work and effort! ?

Today the young lass asked me if I wanted to try Hake instead of Haddock and I thought yeah why not. It was very nice, more of a sea taste if you understand. I will be having that again. Richard. ?
