Superb service!They even accommodated for our 8 year who enjoys meat, they went out of their way to make her a bacon sandwich! Yup, not even on the menu, so when you have a fussy eater, as parents, this is the service you love to see, and makes the experience all the more perfect!!Well done guys and gals!! 2-4 The Cross, EllandAbsolutely brilliant place had my grandaughters baby shower there staff carla rodd over the top for us all we did do our own buffet which was not a problem at all but I must say I've also eaten there and the food is outstanding.plus a drinking night also they have a very good selection of beers and lagers plus the top self and cocktails.the cleanliness of the place was 100% I couldn't fault the caddyshack in anyway including there staff thank you great day had by all

The Rock Tavern
Dewsbury Rd, EllandA real hidden gem. Have driven past so many times and always seems closed but not today! Friendly staff and a great selection of beers on draught at a reasonable price. The food is especially delicious and the Sunday roast is just amazing! Take a look at the beer garden to the rear and you will overlook Elland from above and I can check on my roof condition whilst having a relaxing pint!!

12 Briggate, EllandBreakfast is the most important meal of the day, and I'm not the biggest fella but I like a good feed of a morning to set the tone. Well I'd been on the tools since 6:30am with nothing but a doble dolce coffee in me, and to my annoyance I then had to drive from Leeds to Elland to pick something up. An inconvenient trip I thought, until I spotted an inviting little cafe on the corner. My belly had been having a word with me on the way over, chastising me for neglecting it thus far. Well, I thought, I'd better make some amends.I stepped inside. Clean and tidy little shop, nice looking menus with a good variety - maybe one day I'll sample their more exotic delights if the need arises. But I'm a breakfast traditionalist, and a classic bacon and sausage sarnie was calling my name. I placed my order - so far so good. Then I spotted a little extra on the board and my brain immediately sent its electrical impulses down to the aforementioned grumpy tummy. It responded in kind. "Go on" it said, "stick a cheeky hash brown in there." And so I did. The lady at the counter happily obliged, she could see I was serious about this sandwich.Let me tell you, the meats were cooked to perfection, the bread bun was a very decent size and good quality, and the hash brown was the proverbial cherry on top of this celebratory breakfast cake. Nice amount of ketchup applied - not too much to overpower the flavour, just enough to moisten each delicious mouthful.So thank you ladies, it wasn't such an inconvenient trip to your fine town at all. I hope this review makes your day because that sandwich made my morning.

Brighouse Rd, Elland, HuddersfieldMothers Day visit I think everyone had the same idea. It was very busy indeed. We had booked before arrival so straight to the table and then on to the carvery que. Which did move quickly by the time we got back the drinks and extras were on the table. Forget the pudding after the massive Sunday roast with all the vegetables and gravy served buffet style. You will be very full.Parking: There is plenty of parking outside and at the front of the pub. Even though it was very busy, we did not have an issue parking.

Coeliacs Corner
4 Ridge View, EllandHey,Was looking for some Coeliac stuff to bake a cake for a friend and not kill them. The guys on the stall were helpful and had everything I needed there. They even offered to bake the cake for me so I could pick it up next week, which on reflection would have saved me hours tidying up the kitchen.

7A Town Hall St, EllandAbsolutely outstanding! First time ordering here and they smashed it out of the park. A couple of our regular curry houses had gone downhill and we'd tried a few places trying to find a new gem - all were pretty average in all honesty. Akhtars was recommended to us by a friend who'd previously recommended our current favourite kebab house. Ordered a peshwari tikka - creamy but with a kick, just my style. My wife ordered desi lamb, rich and spicy. Great spice blend, tender meat. Keema rice was excellent, prawn puri was perfect and the garlic naan, although slightly burnt, we quite like that charred flavour so not a negative there either. The mushroom pakoras didn't travel well but you e got to expect that. They were very tasty and a decent size portion. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Just sad that we're now on our January diet because I'd order from here twice a week! Really pleased we've found a new regular. No idea how much it cost, but after tasting the food, I don't really care. Awesome food and it arrived 25 minutes earlier than expected. I don't give out 5* very often, but this place would've got a 7*. Needless to say, we'll be ordering again. ??????????

13A Victoria Rd, EllandWe were Visiting my brother for a few days and on our last night decided not to cook. We were recommended Kai's by his next door neighbour. Rang the order in, duck dish, chicken wings, prawn toast & a special fried rice, we were told ready in 1/4 of an hour. Very efficient service. We shared all the dishes and had a mix and match. The food was hot and very flavoursome. We were a little confused with the chicken wings they seemed more like strips of pork, but whatever tasty. We received a complimentary bag of prawn crackers. I would recommend if your wanting a quick fix meal for our above order it was £25.

7 Briggate, EllandMy brother ordered a thin crust meat feast pizza and it was beautiful I would 100% recommend, I had a quarter pounder cheese burger and it took 45 minutes delivery yet it was still red hot and tasted lovely. Only problem was the garlic fries, they smelt like garlic but didn’t really taste much and there was mushy parts in them but they still tasted great would recommend this place they have nearly everything on their menu’s loads of things to choose from

90-92 Southgate, EllandThe food was fresh and lovely. The service was very quick and professional. We went in a Monday evening, very early so it was a little quiet but it was very good. We will be back.Kid-friendliness: Went here with my 9 year old. The hosts were very accommodating and specifically check that he was enjoying everything and they could not do enough to make us all feel welcomed. He even got a lollipop when the bill came.

Anyway back to the meal absolutely beautiful, starter mixed was plentiful and we ordered a large curry which did both of us. We really enjoyed and definitely will order again.

The food was as delicious as expected, with the burgers being juicy and flavorful, and the fries perfectly crispy. What really stood out was the service; the staff were exceptionally friendly and made sure our order was exactly as we wanted. The restaurant was clean and had a welcoming atmosphere, making our dining experience even better. It's great to see such standards being maintained. Will definitely be back for more!

4 Jubilee Way, Elland, HalifaxI don’t mind it in Elland it’s probably one of the better locations good for parking no busy road s near by just handy to use for myself plus they have a cafe available if needed plus toilets looks very clean to me but yes not happy with the self service is it better than the service ti person serving you I think the human touch is a lot better a service with a smile is much more appreciated- self service so should we be paying to load are own shopping up I feel like society is losing a grip on reality but hey ho I do feel for the older generation who struggle with this technology.
