Mothers Day visit I think everyone had the same idea. It was very busy indeed. We had booked before arrival so straight to the table and then on to the carvery que. Which did move quickly by the time we got back the drinks and extras were on the table. Forget the pudding after the massive Sunday roast with all the vegetables and gravy served buffet style. You will be very full.Parking: There is plenty of parking outside and at the front of the pub. Even though it was very busy, we did not have an issue parking.

Nice food and reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Still no proper ales but still worth the money.

£15 on a Sunday, the food was tasteless and barely warm.

We had ordered 4 Sunday roast and had to wait 50 minutes from when we ordered to get the food. We saw people come in after us eat their food and leave and we were still waiting. And even after asking about where are food was after 30 minutes the staff said it would be 5 minutes and then 20 minutes later we got it. No apology no nothing from the staff not even an explanation. It is just unacceptable to have to wait that long when we could have got the food are selves. And as we live 2 minutes away we expect the food to be warm but it was cold. I just feel that this situation could have been handled a lot better by the staff it’s just disappointing.

Really enjoyed our carvery we went today instead of Mother's Day because it would have been too busy and possibly longer waiting time'

Well I booked a table at 10.15 as 10am was booked. When I got there there was people queueing and we waited for around 10mins with know one attending to us. So a man went up to the till and came back and said we need to go to till so I said well it would have been nice to be told because normally if you book you are seen to your table. I then saw a lady and said I had booked what if there's no seats because it was really busy with it been mothers day she said if you can't come and find me, luckily we did. The queue for breakfast was around 15 minutes. It was very long but went down quicker than I thought it would. The lady kept checking on us asking if everything was OK etc really friendly said she was on till 5pm we was just having a general chit chat with her. Wish I got her name because she does need rewarding for her hard work on the morning I also saw and heard her with other customers she was really good. Because they are not all like that up there. I've had to complain a few times so a big 10/10 from me to her. Brown hair tied back around 25/30yrs old if that helps. Breakfast was great though. We also treated ourselves to a pink gin & tonic and it was lovely ? the breakfast counter itself was very greasy and sticky needs a good deep clean. Beans and tomatoes very runny need draining a bit and bacon is a bit fatty not sone enoigh for me and I like My food hot it was just warm but had a good selection.

Children's menu was very disappointing. We ordered 2 carverys and my 3 children ordered from the children's menu. 1 under 6s chicken nuggets (hes 3 years old and got 8 chicken nuggets and pot of beans) but then ordered 2 chicken burgers from the under 12s and got 4 chicken nuggets in a Warburtons teacake and a pot of beens! My 6 year old and 8 year old was still hungry as they're 3 year old brother got more food than they did. 4 people stood around doing nothing and asked for some ketchup and mayo, waited 10 minuets and they didn't even move. Luckily the dark haired lady was very kind and saw to it straight away for me. It was mother's day and I understand it was busy but 4 staff stood doing nothing then not even attempting to fetch something that had been requested was pretty poor. Was also only 1 lady at the bar and waited 15 minuets for a drink. Veg was also undercooked, didn't enjoy that at all. All In all was quite disappointed with the experience, would try again on a less busy day, but would never come back on mothering Sunday or any Sunday for that matter.

Not the best carvery. One certain staff member couldn't be bothered answering when asked what the sponge of the day was. Ordered dessert and waited over 20

Attended here with work colleagues for breakfast. They have vegetarian options. However the vegetarian options are laid out in front of the meat options, I saw customers picking the meat options over the vegetarian options, and some meat options landing on the vegetarian food, thus contaminating the vegetarian food, I advised a member of staff that they should place all meat options in front of the vegetarian options, so no one is picking the food over the vegetarian dishes, hopefully they listen to my advice, the vegetarian options I had which I could see that couldn't be contaminated were nice, couldn't have some of the options as I could clearly see some meat on them.Vegetarian options: They have Hash Brown's, Beans, toast, Mushrooms ( these were contaminated so I couldn't have them), fried eggs, if you want vegetarian sausages you will need to ask for these.Parking: Plenty of parking available
