Good experience. Service was ok. Although we used the app we still had to collect a round from the bar. Not a big deal but negates the need for using the app. Food was fine, low chip count as usual.Nothing to rave about, nothing to moan about.

Over half the food menu was unavailable when we visited. Coffee machine was out of order too. The food ordered arrived and my wife's meal was minus the advertised coleslaw and the JD glaze. My bbq cheese and bacon burger was minus the cheese. Still, at least it's now 'Sir' Tim....No one came to ask whether our food was ok or not. Probably not bothered as pub is for sale.

Lovely meal, great service, friendly. ?

Good meeting point across from Halifax's revamped bus station. Soon to lose its 'spoons status (7/1/24), but supposedly remaining a pub.

This place always feels empty, and its a shame, with such a great view of the little people below. Good for those who like to sit back for a coffee and people watch. The drawback is that the place feels like a corridor, and the floor is left unkempt even when quiet. The place might be closing soon but with so many people trying to float a food business locally there's a lot of competition.WS is flailing in bland and settled attitudes among decent alternatives. It's no wonder they are pulling out if so, but I'll miss the familiarity, even if the waitress gave me the wrong order.-.- =3

It was OK, busy for a Sunday afternoon, so waiting time was noticeable. With being busy, staff weren't on point and this does make me reluctant to go again. However the location does make it good.I am also one to give the benefit of the doubt so will try again..

Fantastic little pub! Lovely staff, great food and fast service to say how busy it was. Was about 20 of us, the staff were very polite, food beautiful and the vibe was okay, could’ve done with someone music. The duty manager sorted out every issues and she was fantastic and efficient. Will definitely come

Warm and comfortable on a cold wet day. Staff were efficient, the food was prompt and exactly what we ordered.

Have the portion sizes dropped because the 'five bean' chilli appeared to be a tablespoon atop the potato? This dish needs much more chilli & a portion of butter to get through the potato, imo.Vegetarian options: Need more Vege options & what happened to the tomato & basil soup as that was lovely?

Always busy but service is efficient. Still very good value with a meal and a drink under a tenner. Can't understand why Whetherspoons are giving up the lease, especially since the new Halifax bus station across the road will be fully opened in the coming months.

The staff are very unprofessional and rude, they make jokes about their customers and make people feel very below them.

We went today after being to the Vue, was quite full but managed to get a table. I Had gourmet Sirloin steak it wS wonderfull and just cooked how I like it. Mushroom Tom Onion rings and chips. My Husband had American Burger and chips with extra chips. He had a pint of Abbot then a rose. I had a glass of rose. For all of it less than £25 well worth the money. The table we sat at we could see the new bus station which was nice

No san Miguel, no wine glasses, app not working, no side with meal (salad, veg). Shortage of staff, only one behind the bar so very long wait for drinks and food order. Will be looking to go somewhere else in future.

Good pub with great ambience and seating arrangements. My friends had a pint and we had a good time. Very crowded late at night though!

Got a lovely mixed grill. Fast service even though the app wasn't working, didn't queue long. Food was quick, hot and all the meat cooked well. Only knocked a star off because every sauce bottle was nearly empty and only 1 vinegar seemed to be available. Nice clean pub. Clean toilets
