Its good but SO BLOODY EXPENSIVE. Id rather just go to the shoulder in royd or the cafe bar. My fish was big and tasty, not sure on the batter it had a strange bitterness to it but it was nice.Just extremely overpriced??

Gio's Italian Bar and Kitchen

Best Italian in the area…fabulous food, amazing service and delicious cocktails..sorry there’s no pictures to back this up but we were starving and it was too delicious to mess about ?

Los Pampas Brazilian Steakhouse

We tried Los Pampas Brazilian Steakhouse and absolutely loved it! You get 90 minutes of all-you-can-eat, starting with a big salad bar and then a constant flow of different meats carved at the table — sirloin, fillet, beef skirt, gammon, chicken, and more.

The beef in particular was amazing, really tender and full of flavour. By the end we were completely stuffed! I also like that they have a rule about not wasting food, so you’re encouraged to only take what you can manage.

Great food, great service, and a fun experience. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area.

True North

The short review about True North is that we can not find fault. Simple as. 6 of us dined here on Saturday 7th of February. We were originally going to be a table of 4, but happened to meet 2 other members of our family who had booked to eat here unbeknown to us. After asking the young man who greeted us at the door if it would be possible to enable our 2 family members to join us and make it a table of 6 he checked and with no more hesitation he had us seated at a great table. From then on the food and drink served to us was excellent. 4 of our party had the fillet steak which was the best we have had. Great quality, quantity and cooked to perfection. Thank you to the chef/chefs. All this was served by some of the politest, most helpful servers you could wish for. The restaurant is clean, modern and spacious. Plenty of room between tables. True North must rank as one of, if not the best restaurants in Halifax and the surrounding area. Well worth a try. I do not think you will be disappointed.

Sapore

Fabulous food, great service, very reasonable prices. It seems these guys are really talented and passionate about their restaurant and food, authentically Italian with no greed attached to their pricing. A true mix for success in the hospitality business. I would 100% recommend this place and will definitely be back when I am next in Halifax. Thank you for a great evening guys!

KAYA’S GRILL:TURKISH RESTAURANT

I spent New Year's Eve in a warm and welcoming atmosphere with perfect food. With the owner's permission, I visited the kitchen, and I can say with full confidence that it is one of the cleanest and most well-organized kitchens I have ever seen.
The food was flawless and prepared with great professionalism by Chef Edy.
I would recommend everyone to visit this wonderful restaurant, which is managed by a couple who are truly dedicated to their work.

The New Inn

A great traditional pub with a warm welcome and a local feel. We arrived too late to eat, but saw that the New Inn is very popular for food and has a menu that caters for vegetarian/vegan as well as ???. We will definitely be back - and recommend this place to anyone that appreciates a traditional setting and a friendly team who work hard yet have time for their customers.

There is a lovely strip of grass around the perimeter with solid and level picnic tables, overlooking great views of the hills and towns below.

Dog friendly (and treat-ready!) although limited area where your furry companions can be inside. There is a covered area (used by smokers) at the back with the lovely views. It’s home to the friendly resident cat, so please be considerate ?

Well worth a visit!

Elland Craft & Tap Micropub

We love this place! It's a really good, friendly local place. If you're happy to get involved in conversation with others, sit in the main bar area. If you want a bit more quiet or privacy, then there are two rooms upstairs.
It's a popular spot so does get busy & noisy.
Lots of great beers to choose from and they have just received a CAMRA award. I didn't give it full stars though, because as a cider drinker my choices never seem to change. Standard wherever I go though. Fortunately, I like the choices offered.
Very dog friendly venue. They host a quiz night mid-week and offer free room hire for local groups, so really invested in the community.

Mr T’s Halifax

Came to Mr t’s and the lady at the till Faten was really nice, had the best customer service and made the overall experience enjoyable. I have never come here before and because of her i would like to come back.

Plummet Line Hotel

Absolutely kittle gem this place is Sarah is a fantastic manager ? and all the etaff thier are so friendly and professional.
The pub itself has great clientel and alway a great atmosphere ? no matter what

Pizza Hut

Myself and my family visited tonight. Served by Sam & Erin. We were delighted with the service. Nothing was too much. The food was fresh!! Salad bar was topped up and fresh. Thanks ladies

The Maypole Inn

Went to The Maypole for our evening dinner & really enjoyed it.I had the Steak & ale pie & my eldest son had The Chicken Shawarma. We would really recommend this place if you want to go get a bite to eat.It was a nice relaxed atmosphere here.

Yates - Halifax

It's a good place for a cheap pint ? Great selection of beers on tap. Extensive menu at a reasonable price, follow the mixer app....gets you points and a bonus pint once in a while!!

Pollino

We've been a couple of times now and both times the food was amazing, service was fantastic, great cocktails, the restaraunt itself is beautiful with some really lovely views. We love it and will definitely be back.

The Booth Wood Inn

Had a lovely dining experience here, staff gery friendly and attentive and welcoming and warm.

Food was all lovely.

Ayubowan Restaurant - Halifax

A real find. An absolutely wonderful meal and cant speak highly enough of the meal. Full of flavour and some real gems in that. The Pea and Nut curry was wonderful, as was the Nasi Goreng. Great dining experience and would definitely be back. Really friendly staff as well

Upper George

When I walked into the upper George I was blown away by how friendly it was.
However I was incredibly shocked to see that the Assistant Manager was eating a dry crumpet, untoasted in the beer garden and without shame. It's a very diverse staff team too for example the Landlord is a Leprechaun and they have even employed a welsh person and not only that they let him wear people clothes.
The beer is okay but they don't have wobbly bob anymore and haven't stocked owt from the Orkney brewery ever.

RICCI'S PLACE

Our first time this evening at Ricci’s and it was outstanding. Good quality food, good prices, lots of choice on the menu, friendly staff. Will definitely be back to this gem

Totem

Had the halloumi burger and chips, which was delicious. Smoothies were great too. Fast and polite service. Will definitely come back in the summer for cocktails outside!

Thai Style

After trying lots of Thai restaurants across West Yorkshire, this is by far the best, most authentic Thai food you can get. Don’t be put off by the exterior, inside is like stepping into Thailand.

Bardolinos

Wonderful restaurant with great atmosphere and lovely food. Will definitely be coming back here again and will look swell once the new windows are installed in January!

The Murg

We held our after wedding meal here. The food was superb, the service second to none, nothing was too much trouble. I wish we lived closer to make it our local! Fabulous

We had a lovely time thankyou!! We didn’t catch the name of the lady but we came on tuesday the 21st and she was serving us from 6:30-8:30 she was absolutely brilliant, so friendly and had a conversation with us for ages. Proper asset to the place she’s brilliant!! The food was lovely too ?

The Sun Inn at Lightcliffe

Had use of the upstairs room for a stag party at the weekend and the service was fantastic! The communication leading up to the day was second to none and Lauren couldn’t have done anymore to help organise the afternoon. The staff on the day were equally as amazing and were extremely patient and accommodating of such a large group.

There was a good range of drinks on offer and the food was excellent too.

There was also a very warm and friendly atmosphere throughout the whole pub.

Tasty Bites

Very fast efficient service. Always a smile when you walk through the door. Food never over or under cooked. Burgers are fantastic, makes the golden arches look silly. Pizzas are on par with other main street establishments. Visit time and time again.

We went for steak night last night and it was absolutely gorgeous! The steak was cooked to perfection (medium) and the service was outstanding! 11/10 would recommend ?? thank you guys!!

Sportsmans Inn

It doesn't look fancy, but there's a lot of heart here. The first thing that strikes you is the attentive and friendly service, all regular guests are greeted by their first name and are served exactly what they want, no questions asked. The food is hearty and tasty and the portions large. Can only recommend a visit to the Sportsmans Inn to anyone who is in these parts.

The Causeway Foot

This is both a great locals pub & a lovely restaurant. With a vast choice of good food the service was excellent but unobtrusive. Portions are huge, fantastic quality and prices very reasonable. We'll be back for sure

K Ø B E N H A V N

Great bar with an extensive range of beers and ales along with lots of other drinks. Has a nice outdoor seating area as well as plenty of seating inside, staff are very friendly and the place has a great atmosphere. New food offering is also very good. Definitely one of the best bars in Halifax and a must go to if you're visiting

The Winterburn

Visited for valentines and the food was amazing...I had the beer battered fish n chips and the light batter was perfect ...hubby had risotto with smoked salmon and prawns both delicious...highly recommend indulging in a pudding as all looked lovely ....staff brilliant and cleanliness 100% cant wait to go back ...

The Stump Cross Inn

We came to Halifax for the weekend & found this little gem, we were made to feel welcome by the friendly staff, we didn't book, but they seated us with no problems. I went for the special, which was a Jerk Chicken Burger, this was delicious! My partner asked to make substitutes to the lasagna sides from chips & salad to mash and veg, which they changed with no issues. Lovely pub, would definitely return.

Food and drinks: Food was delicious and reasonably priced.

White Horse Inn

A bit of a hidden gem having driven past on numerous occasions I decided to give it a go. It didn't disappoint. A good sized menu available and the food (I did the steak pie for a main) was served hot and at a generous portion. The puds were also deliciously sweet and moreish! A great selection of beers on tap and a wide range of wines and spirits are also unavailable. Ample free off street parking makes this place one to return to very soon.

The food is absolutely beautiful and delicious. My aunts and I ate the plates clean. The variety of options is wonderful and it was a beautiful experience. Love the Turkish tea and coffee at the end of the meal. The owner is also very kind and lovely. 10/10 food and 10/10 service, I definitely recommend it!

We didn't actually end up eating here as they'd stopped serving food, but the lady behind the counter was very helpful and gave us suggestions of where we could go instead. The cakes looked good too!

Nando's Halifax

One of my grandson's favourite places to eat. Hence my visit. Service was friendly. Our food was delivered promptly. I just had the humus and pitta bread but it was top notch. Pitta was soft and humus had really balanced flavours. Decent prices too.

The Village Pantry

I recently had a wonderful breakfast at The Village Pantry in Halifax, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! Everything was cooked to perfection - nothing was burnt or dry, unlike other places I've been to. The quality and care put into the meal were evident with every bite. The staff were incredibly friendly and made the experience even more enjoyable. Although I didn't take any photos this time, I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in Halifax. Highly recommended!

Casa Pizza

Excellent takeaway! This place also does fabulous gluten free pizzas - would highly recommend. Always friendly when we collect and every delivery driver has always been lovely too. Great local takeaway!

Dario's Pizza

Had a fantastic calzone from Dario's Pizza in Sowerby Bridge centre tonight! It was absolutely packed with meat and so tasty. At just £9, it's seriously good value for money. Highly recommend!

Seraj Indian

The pizza was decent seraj special whith stuff crust but the biryani was disgusting Mrs didn't like it at all so won't be ordering the biryani again stick to pizza and chicken that sit but pizza has changed compared to how it used to be

Brilliant service and location 5 mins from the train station,, staff were lovely and drinks were well priced the steak pie to go was delicious too,, a much better place to wait for the train ?,, x

The Wainhouse Tavern

Seemed friendly enough. They have a pool table and a good selection of drinks and spirits to choose from. We went for the curry night, but no food was being served, so we went elsewhere. Bar staff were pleasant. We will be returning

Long Can Hall

My my first visit along with a few work colleagues for some drinks and food on a Friday afternoon in May, (most of whom have been before). A great place with a frequently changing menu, good quality and value. Drinks were comoetively priced (which makes a change for a gastro pub), great beer garden with views and the building itself is fascinating. Will come again if in the area.

Pajaree's

It is a very cozy place and serves amazing thai food! The owners are Pajaree and Philip and absolutely fun people. So you can look forward to a humour filled meal. It is also quiet and feels very homely.
I would say if you expect good food with amazing hospitality, do try this place!

Big Six Inn, Halifax

A marvellous welcoming traditional pub in an urban terrace, with personable staff and very friendly locals. When I visited, the Big Six had a very good range of real ales, and all were in top condition. I'm very much looking forward to my next visit to Halifax, West Yorkshire.

Stretchgate Fisheries

The best fish and chips I’ve had in ages. The fish was fresh full of flavour. The chips were cooked to perfection and the gravy was so creamy and tasty. Highly recommended

The Bottomleys Arms

We came in for food, despite them being busy with a party and people already eating, they accommodated a table for two for me and my partner. My partner has tried this pub before and loved it and told me we both should go. The atmosphere is great you can tell it is run by a very loved family. The food was amazing I had a Chicken Caesar Salad. The staff was lovely especially the younger ones well done girls. Would definitely recommend this gem!!

We where visiting the area on our way home from holiday. We stumbled across this little Fish & Chip bar. What can I say they are best Fish & Chips I have tasted in a long time. The staff very friendly, service was fast.

Hong Kong Chinese Takeaway

My go to takeaway and has been for years! Absolutely amazing and the staff are so kind and cater to my gluten free diet due to dietary requirements. Never had an issue, food is delicious and delivery is reasonably fast! Recommend to all my family and friends, our favourite! No wonder why it’s always so busy.

Went for the bottomless brunch. A little hiccup when we arrived but not a problem. We had drinks before we were seated and Dom couldn't do enough for us. Loads of cocktails prosecco spirits to choose and the food eas delicious. Laughed all afternoon and would deffo go again 10/10

Damien was very welcoming and seemed well respected with the customer's.Damian is Proper bar tender (shirt and tie) a true gent who was happy to help complete my work.Food from the kitchen looked fresh and tasty... Lots of happy people eating... That's always a good sign that these guys are doing it right.Fantastic little place with a big community heart.

Westvale Fisheries

My favourite chippy in Calderdale. Always cooked fresh in beef dripping, just as they should be. Haddock is always of the best quality and the batter is always a perfect crisp. Portions are generous too. All the above count every time I go which isn’t often but it proves consistency in my opinion.

Dhesi Karahi Grill

Ordered food from Just Eat. Arrived in good time and was hot. Everything was delicious and the man delivering was very polite and courteous. I called forward to ask for some cutlery as staying in an air b&b. The order contained forks and spoons. Great service and food from start to finish. Really great authentic food. Thank you.

The most tastiest breakfast around with a great price tag £6 for a small inc a. Brew and toast the Sunday lunch is delicious for £5 including meat roast potatoes Yorkshire pudding and 4 different vegetables definitely a place to sample home made delicious food

Preston Martins Cafe Halifax

Hands down the best breakfast ive ever had! Everything cooked to perfection and the staff are friendly and efficient!

Little LOTUS

Had an amazing experience at little lotus today, this lovely British lady served me with the nicest smile and was able to hold a great conversation with me without it feeling two sided at all. I asked for the chicken katsu to take out which was packed to the brim to where the lid was almost squashed on. Lovely place, great portioning and even better customer service I will be returning regularly.

The Old Brandy Wine

A very friendly place. It's my local so I know a lot who go in there, but it's on the canal so we do get one time visitors and they're always made to feel welcome. It's also dog friendly.

Your Secret Gourmet

I'd highly recommend this quaint little cafe- the service was impeccable and reasonably priced too. It was a lovely pit stop for me and my partner on our walk.

Shoulder Of Mutton

Nice local pub. Staff are really friendly, plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy in the warmer weather and small playground for the kids to enjoy. Good selection of drinks and bar snacks.

Ring O' Bells

Great pub, good beer and the pie and peas were amazing. A great traditional pub, well worth a visit. Very close to Halifax railway station and the town centre.

The landlady was fantastic. She served pie, peas and mint sauce (£6.00 with a pint) that were top notch!

At least three real ales on here and the one we had was very good.

Would highly recommend!

Costa Coffee

This is a decent Costa Coffee situated inside a Tesco. It's usually always busy due to the fact its in a supermarket.

Can sometimes be a bit of a wait due to the busyness.

Greggs

This Greggs is small and unaccessible to wheelchair users due to a step by the door. The staff are mostly polite but unfortunately one did charge me for cream on a specialty drink which they shouldn't have, however this was a 1 off issue

N O C O • PIZZA & PROSECCO

I ordered some takeaway pasta which is the best pasta I’ve had in a very long time. The staff were efficient and courteous. It did take about 10-15 mins for them to get the pasta ready but since it was prepared fresh then it’s worth the wait. Would definitely call again
