A snug little cafe. Nice selection of meals. And fair prices.

The perfect place for fans of 'Last of the Summer Wine', but still a nice and friendly, cosy little café even if you aren't. A great find on a cold and wet afternoon. If you're looking for "Sid's Café' in particular, be aware that the "Sid" part is hard to spot. ?

What a gem ?. Visited Holmfirth the last Saturday of 2023. Although the weather wasn't great, to say the least, it was chucking it down. A visit to Sids café brightened our day up. Pushing you back into nostalgia of the last of the summer wine. Not to say the sausage( teacake ) I had was equally as nice and the hot chocolates we had went down a dream on a miserable day.We will definitely visit Sids again when we're in Holmfirth..

Lovely cafe with super friendly staff right in the heart of Holmfirth. The menu is simple but tasty and the kids loved it. A great place and we will certainly visit again!

Service and friendliness are great. Jacket potatoes have poor presention and too small. Side salad was non-existent. Would we go back. Sadly, no.

Welcoming wee cafe with lots to offer. Staff are lovely and food tasty. My highlight was the memorabilia and knick knacks you can buy.

Hi me and my husband went to sids cafe yesterday for tea and cake and I have to say we were very disappointe. My scone was dry the cream wasn't proper clotted cream just double cream whipped up. My husband cake was tiny for the price we paid for it. The milkshakes were just flavoured milk. We went there before about 20yrs yrs ago and we really enjoyed it. Obviously the cafe is still the same but the cakes and scones are not wat they used to be. Its a shame as I was looking forward to a nice scone. Probably won't go back now.

Lovely cosy cafe. Bang in the heart of Holmfirth. Friendly staff and a bostin sausage and bacon teacake (bap) that was huge!Tour bus stops outside.

Having watched "Last of the summer wine" for many years and still do, I just had to visit this cafe when in the area. It did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the staff even more so. One could imagine Foggy, Clegg and Compo sat at the next table.
A delightful little cafe famous for its appearance in the classic comedy..Last of the summer wine..Many references to the series and the cast are on the walls inside and I loved looking around the café as we sat and had a coffee..Seats are available inside and out but are very limited so it may be difficult to get when it's busy so please be aware that there is a seating area around the back of the cafe also ..Staff are all very friendly and welcomingSo we very much enjoyed our visit

The original cafe used in the Last of the Summer Wine series all those years go. The decor has changed very little over the years, which is absolutely how it should be to retain the atmosphere portrayed on TV. Only the layout has changed, probably to make the space work better. Lots of memorabilia around, and the food and drink is what you might expect from the 1970’s era, i.e. basic. A scone is a scone - no vanilla flavouring, cheese option or warming up in a microwave to give the impression of freshness. Just butter and jam. The polite table service and card payment option is something that Compo and his mates didn’t experience. Other than that, it is the Sid’s Cafe we all know and love.

Tucked away this is a little touristy venue for those nostalgic about the last of the summer wine. Despite that it is actually a cracking little cafe with somewhere to sit outside. Price was reasonable bacon and egg sandwich was very very good with quality ingredients. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Next time I go past I will probably pop in again.

OK so we all know who went here, compo ect.. ? It's a little different but the pics and decor are awesome, we had 2 mugs of tea, traditional D&B for our 9 year old, fruit loaf, scone and a piece of mars bar flap jack for £14, absolutely lovely 5* across the boardSo far so good for our week break in New Mill, HOLMFIRTH
