Love Canton... best food..Always great food, lovely friendly staff,Can be really busy at times and you have to wait longer than told and can be a bit more expensive than ither places however it is 100% worth it!

Mediocre Chinese food at best, they also need to reconsider their price point. They seek to charge £68 for a duck and pancakes in a small village, which is a shocking amount. Even takeaways/restaurants in cities do not charge as high for that dish. We settled for half a duck at still an extortionate £35, and it was just okay but came with inadequate pancakes and sundries. Save yourself some money as there are a wealth of better Chinese restaurants in the Holme Valley.

Appalling would be an understatement. I would give it a zero if there was an option. Unfortunately didn’t read the recent reviews before ordering from here.Food was very oily, bland and tasteless.Extremely overpriced.Bad customer service with a rude man taking orders on the phone.I definitely would urge people to spend their money elsewhere.

After a busy Saturday and four looking a really rubbish week we decided to treat ourselves to a takeaway from Canton Chef, Honley. We placed our order by phone and the first issue was that the lady that answered the phone wouldn’t accept our address as we had previously ordered at my mums house (treating my mum) and the lady had linked our mobile number to that address, after 5 mins on the phone explaining she eventually accepted our home address. After 1 1/2 hours we called to chase our food and was assured it was cooking and would be delivered next, with apologies that they had been busy. We ordered our food at 19:30 it was eventually delivered at 22:00 by a guy who hadn’t been notiyit was so late and looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights when I asked if it was free? The delivery guy did charge us at a discounted rate and assured us the food would be delicious and hot. The food was neither! Very bland and barely warm! I would NOT recommend delivery from Canton Chef….. try Red Dragon in Lockwood and go pick it up yourself. Much quicker and tastes way better!

Coral (the waitress) was absolutely fantastic! She couldn’t do enough for us and she was extremely accommodating! A downside to our experience was Richard (the manager) he showed no respect towards Coral and it made us feel uncomfortable the way he treated her, he bullies her.
