What can I say, the food was great as always, the staff are great and really made the evening go with a swing and all reasonably priced, the 20 seater cinema is also a great feature.

We had an amazing meal at the whippet and pickle. The food was spot on and some of the best we have had. The feather blade of beef was divine! The resistant was cosy and tastefully decorated for Christmas. It would have been 5 stars however the service was a bit lacking. Although very friendly it was difficult to get the attention of staff to replenish our drinks and we had to physically get up to find someone twice. Would definitely visit again.

A group of us visited during the day for coffee and again in the evening for dinner. All our needs were catered for and the most difficult thing was deciding what to order as everything sounded delicious. The food did not disappoint; it was good quality and freshly prepared. The staff were friendly and attentive at all times without being intrusive. Excellent place to eat and would highly recommend.

We went here for breakfast! It was nice, staff friendly but the food did come quite slowly (probably 30 mins wait), considering we were the only people in there and we all ordered the english breakfast, food was good when it came, great portions but sausages and bacon wasn't cooked enough for us, but as we had waited so long I didn't want to get them to take away again!Drinks were also nice!

The food was delicious, beautiful presentation and the service was excellent. However there was a damp mouldy smell in the atmosphere, which was even worse on the ground floor. Very off putting

Been here before for breakfast and must say it's got even better, definitely a must try for anyone, friendly staff even moved us to a warmer spot to make sure we were comfortable, so a big Thankyou And definitely coming again

Wow, I wanted to do something a little different for my birthday this year and the whippet and pickle didn’t disappoint. I booked a bottomless brunch for 4. We had more than enough food, a brunch board and a waffle of our choosing. Excellent range of drinks. It wasn’t like the usual bottomless drinks where you leave legless and hungry. We left feeling full and happy. Thank you to the waitress’. A wonderful day with good friends, good conversation (that I could hear that wasn’t drowned out by loud music) and fantastic food.

To one of the best foods places in Holmfirth .Vegetarian options: Fantastic wholesome food great service and typical quirky Holmfirth wonderful lace to eat .

It wasn’t until we ordered our food that we were told all beef dishes were off the menu. The reason was because it was such a large piece of beef to cook! Decided to just have cherry waffles instead. Looked really nice, just a shame it was raspberry compote not cherry. Mentioned it to the waitress and got a woeful sorry. Very disappointing
We both had an absolutely lovely time.We enjoyed excellent service, food and wine.Nothing was too much trouble. I asked for some miso to compliment my dessert and they were happy to accommodate me.I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Fantastic service, food, atmosphere. What a delight of a place. Me and my daughter visited before attending an event in Holmfirth, we had the best meal and time here. You are getting Michelin star food for local restaurant prices. Stunning wine and cocktails menu too! The treacle bread is a must!! Like cake!

Went for brunch with 2 adults, 2 children and a dog. Great menu choices, something for everyone. Lovely place and service was friendly and welcoming. The food is top rate. Thank youKid-friendliness: If your kids have a sweet tooth, get the waffles. Massive portions and lovely choices. You may not need to feed them again for the rest of the day!
