I visited ego @ bulls head this evening with my husband and 3 year old son. On arrival was greeted by 2 lovely ladies who made us feel right at home, show us to our table with a kids entertainment pack, great stuff! ? all service was quick and efficient, my son loved making his own pizza but was given no cheese for it. Lady did offer some but after it was cooked. The food was really really poor hence the low stars. Soup of the day way too salty so inedible, luckily lady was lovely about it and took it off our bill. We both ordered medium steak and both was either rare and some parts blue, chefs need a little more training to get steak to medium. We didn't complain about this as we felt bad as we are not usually one's to make a fuss. But then came dessert we both ordered mini dessert and hot drink which was £7.95. The dessert which was literally a mouthful if that! I did ask if I could get a bit more as my 3 year old sons dessert which was £3 was 5x the size and came with Ice cream, and was told that they have changed supplier so that's all they can give. So it is all manufactured and not made in resteraunt which was a tad disappointing. Overall very average/ poor meal and will not be returning to eat.I'd just like to say tho the service was fab lady could not do enough for us and gave us £10 offourbill, food definitely needs vast improvement.

Came on Friday for my daughters birthday, I am not one to complain but feel I need too on this occasionThe service I have to say was very chaotic which resulted in meals been forgottenOne of the guests had soup of the day, none of the staff knew what the soup of the day was, some how the guest found a fish bone which resulted in the meal not been eaten. One guest had ordered garlic mushrooms which didn't have any sauce had to be sent back.2 lots of pitta bread had to be sent back due to been rock hard and not able to eat.I ordered of the celebration menu which was £35 which I have to say was not worth the money.Garlic mushrooms too saltyPork fillet meal hardly touched due to thepork been very dry deauphiniose potatoes was rock hard so again eatenSticky toffee pudding had a film of grease around the puddingHad to wait for the free glass of prosecco

We were here a total of 2 and a half hours. To which only one person ate ( who’d only ordered sides). The chicken was raw.The steak and duck came over cooked which they offered to re do in 6minutes…. Que 15/20mins later we’d then seen the raw chicken and said no Thankyou. However the steak which came back and was going to be attempted to eat was dry on the outside and rare… but rare to the tuneof blue/not cooked? It just didn’t look right. Maybe it would be for some but anyway after the raw chicken no one wanted to eat and was put off. Make your own judgement on the photos. The bill was brought over for £156… which we declined and said we would pay for our drinks… this came to £99.40 for 4 of us - 1 drink per hour ishNow if this was me I’d have taken the last round of drinks off as we would have liked to have had food and gone by this point. Alas it took a long time for a correct bill to come. We then waited 20mins for the card machine before getting up to go to the counter and pay. In total we were here from 7:10 while 9:30pm. Just like to say the atmosphere wasn’t good due to everyone else waiting so long and I imagine also sending back their food. No one looked pleased.I feel sorry for the waitress that was super polite and was struggling with all the issues and became upset.I can imagine the kitchen staff may have been rude to her as I could see them kicking off from my table. - She isn’t the one serving raw chicken to someone with celiac disease though. . . Anyway….We won’t be coming again a very expensive night for someone to be sick as well as no food and a very long wait.I’d attended here once before for somebodies birthday and their chicken was raw too. Rest of the food was fine but it was much quieter.I’d recommend taking chicken off of the menu until the chefs have figured out that they can actually kill people by serving it.

Visited last night as a party of 8 as part of my wifes birthday week. All I have to say is we had a major complaint and the manager (a very pleasant lady, I didn't get her name) handled it superbly. I hope the issues they are having get sorted quickly.

A pleasant and comfortable environment with friendly but busy staff. The food is really nice yet slightly overpriced so try and time your visit with deals that might be on - there are quite a few.
