I met a friend for a coffee and a catch up. We ordered a coffee and stayed for quite some time. We didn't at any point feel like we had out stayed our welcome. The atmosphere was relaxed and the other customers seemed friendly. I will definitely visit again.

You aren’t allowed to sit down unless you buy something. Which I can understand if you’re alone. But when you’re with friends and they are buying food, you should not have to leave. I went today and was told I couldn’t sit down with them until I bought something. Outraged!!

One of the priciest coffee shops and the aircon is blasting cold air on a winter’s day. Fantastic (staff said it’s been a problem for months)

Very poor hygiene. My coffee cup was cracked, strawberry jam jar covered in some sort of black dirt and dust, and croissant has strange green substance attached to it on the side. The sugar/water station was loitered with dirty dishes. Will not return.

I always come to cafe Nero and they are always so welcoming and friendly and I always get a hot chocolate with coconut milk and it’s always delicious

When asking for ketchup after paying for an overpriced bland sausage roll, A very rude manageress barked 'You need to say if I want ketchup before the point of sale'.Begrudgingly, she gave me the ketchup, and proceeded to reiterate her point as if I were some kid at school being told off for doing something wrong. When I asked why, I was told it was for 'stock check purposes'.So seemingly I now have to 2nd guess the systems of the multi-million-pound coffee enterprise, to help them with their Manageress with the overheads and systems. There was no acknowledgment that maybe they should ask customers first (especially given the ketchup is only visible at the other end of the counter after the till).I wouldn't have been half as bothered if she didn't use the bossy entitled/tone over a ketchup sachet. It was embarrassing in front of other people in the queue. This Managress needs to realise she's a Barista and not a Barrister.

I went to cafe nero with my cousin. I was disgusted at how we had been treated. My cousin was ordering our drinks and I went upstairs to find somewhere to sit. However I got called back downstairs and was being told to order something before sitting down after telling the worker multiple times that my cousin was ordering for the both of us. The staff told us to stop eating out own food that we has brought, disclosing this to everyone. As I am diabetic I do have my own food that I eat so I am extremely appalled at how they treated us. I would not recommend

Went in for a nice drink was interrogated by a rude rude staff member who told me that I was not allowed to sit down without ordering. I then went up to order a chocolate brownie because I was rushed by the rude staff member and was then told that my friend also had to make an order to sit down. I got my brownie and left. Would not recommend to go here at all. Very rude staff.

Upon realising the drink I received was not what I thought I'd ordered, I politely enquired with the staff about this. The staff became irritated with me and instead of offering to make me a new drink (for which I was happy to pay) they explained repeatedly that I had ordered incorrectly. I realise there was a mistake on my part but feel the situation could have been handled much better by the staff. Due to the awkwardness of the situation and poor treatment from the staff, I left with my original order and was unsatisfied by the experience altogether.

Pistachio frappe was very nice but visit was ruined by rude staff interrogating every customer that tried to walk upstairs. One of the members of staff was chasing people upstairs yelling to ask if they were going to order anything. Completely ruined the atmosphere downstairs. Upstairs had a better atmosphere probably because the staff weren't there.

Well, this place used to be one of the best coffee places in Huddersfield, Chcoclate & Hazelnut Frappe Creme was my favourite cold beverage but after today's visit all I could taste was cocoa powder mixed with water and ice, topped with cream, it was disgusting, I got to admit that they can make delicious drinks but it all depends on the barista and the one today that made my drink failed to do so...I should've gone to costa for that chocolate frappe...
