Ilkley is quiet on a Tuesday night, but we struck lucky with Brooks. Delicious food complimented by excellent service in a lovely restaurant. All the food was good but the chicken livers were especially tasty. Highly recommend Brooks .. we will definitely go again.

My first meal at this utterly charming little restaurant. The aroma that hits you when you walk through the door suggests a delicious meal is in store. My sense of smell didn't disappoint. Brooks is my new favourite restaurant ? the food could not be tastier, the staff couldn't be more helpful, the portions were more than ample for this oversized man. I will be bringing all my friends for a run out to Ilkley to introduce them to this gem of a restaurant.

Absolute gem of a place in the centre of Ilkley, traditional Sri Lankan food and hospitality. Food first class, would particularly recommend the Tiger Prawn Curry but everything was just perfect and very reasonably priced.Vegetarian options: Great range of vegetarian options I really enjoyed the aubergine and cous cous dish (Aubergine Monju)

Interesting menu. Nice staff. However we left hungry. Dishes too small for price. Not great value. I think it would cost £100 for 2 people to have a substantial meal. I would recommend the beef curry and the butterfly prawn dish. The chicken on skewers was not great. They need to tweak the menu a bit at lunchtime for diners who don't want to spend a fortune. Maybe include a decent portion of rice.

We had high hopes after a wonderful visit in 2022. However this time the food service was very slow and the food was lacking in flavour.

I visited Brooks with friends. I live in Ilkley and it was my first time here. Absolutely beautiful food! So much choice and every dish exceptional. A real experience of Sri Lankan good food. Couldn't fault a thing. Drinks great, service fantastic. I will return here time and time again. I wish I had visited before but now i will make up for lost time!

Really fantastic, authentic Sri Lankan food. Something different & very tasty. Service immaculate and friendly. Chef/owner came around the tables asking for feedback. Excellent value for money. If it was nearer we'd be there every week.

We were very excited to have our first visit to Brooks after reading all the fantastic reviews. Unfortunately we left very underwhelmed. The venue is nice, nothing Sri Lankan/ Asian about it but nicely done. The service was good, attentive, polite staff. The food is very average. All the reviews mention how authentic the food is, we just found it ok.

Good quality, interesting authentic Sri Lankan flavours (we honeymooned there!), good friendly service. Perhaps a little pricey for what you get, but it’s a different experience from any other restaurant in the area and we would recommend it.

Last night we went to Brooks with good friends. We enjoyed everything about our evening, from the warm friendly welcome from the lovely owner, the excellent service and, of course, the food! Eight delicious plates were enjoyed. Certainly the best tapas in Ilkley! We will be back soon!

We had an amazing meal this last week. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome and the service throughout was excellent tfrom the two people working that night. The food was amazing. Such a great choice and different flavours. My son loved it so much he booked a work team meal for 10 for the following evening. We shall be back!
