We stopped at the Marquis whilst passing on a narrowboat. Popped in for a pint and 5 hours later we left with a proper belly full of beer. What a great pub and Carl and Sarah the Landlord and Landlady were superb in making us feel welcome. What a great night. ?

Unable to comment on the food presently but the atmosphere is brilliant. The owners are friendly and welcoming. With parking and regular events, including live band performances and a Santa's grotto this is the perfect place to call in or relax a

Local village pub, canalside location. Outdoor covered seating. Well kept cellar, cosy bar area, pool table. Always a warm and friendly welcome.Currently pop up food so you'll need to ring ahead and check if wanting food. Crisps, nuts etc available.Parking: Easy parking at the rear of the pub.Kid-friendliness: Well behaved kids welcomed.Wheelchair accessibility: Level access at side door which is the most frequently used access. Slope from car park to pub itself is quite steep, may need assistance but staff very friendly and available to help if needed.

Only two real ales, mine was good, no food available, a bit loud in the bar so went into the pool room so a bit better. Nice pub on the canal and worth a visit.

We spent a lovely evening in this traditional pub, a "proper pub"! Sarah and Carl along with their family and locals were extremely welcoming and friendly. The pub had a fantastic atmosphere and we were made to feel very comfortable. We learnt a few new pub games and had a great time. Thank you

Visited this pub bank holiday,7th May they were serving food barbecue outside, the menu was burgers and what they called potato salad, and a mixed salad, the food was absolutely diabolical, the burgers where tasteless and it was supposed to be chill, and the potato salad was just cold lumpy mash, your having a laugh, prison food not that I ever eaten prison food but that's what I imagine it would taste like so surface to say won't be visiting agin,I star for the drink, can't get that wrong !!!

We had our wedding reception here March 2023. We got what we wanted and more. The buffet was beautiful. The room looked stunning. The landlord’s Carl & Sarah went above and beyond to make our day special. It was much more than that, it was perfect. Our guests have all commented about how lovely it was. Sarah was an amazing host. We love this place. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere each time we go. I can’t recommend The Marquis of Granby enough. They say when you get married it’s the best day of your life. Both Carl & Sarah helped make that happen. Forever grateful.
