Ever since I saw the decor of this restaurant from the outside I dreamed of visiting it one day. Treated by my partner to a birthday dinner, I finally had a chance to experience its atmosphere and its take on, my favourite, Italian cuisine. The place didn't let down in any aspect. Despite being quite packed, it still felt very cosy and friendly. The food was excellent, portions ideal, service amazingly fast and staff very attentive. Big thank you to Laura, who made us feel welcome and looked after and every now and then exchanged a few words with us. She felt very genuine and never intrusive. Certainly wouldn't mind returning for more.

The atmosphere looked great. However, there were three issues:1. The food looked like a child’s portion to me. For a plate worth over 16 pounds, it felt like cheating to me.2. The drink I ordered cost over 7 pounds, and it felt like I was given 95% ice and 5% of the actual drink I paid for.3. Finally I was offended that I wasn’t asked if I wanted to tip or not. They automatically added a 10% tip in the total bill for me, whilst still listing it as “optional.” If this was truly optional, why was it summed up in the final amount I was asked to pay?I hated that I spent £30 pounds for something that didn’t worth more than £10. Would not recommend.

Really lovely restaurant, great decor and ambiance. Really lovely staff and service, Jessica looked after us attentively but wasn’t overbearing! Excellent, tasty food and great wine. I’d definitely return on my next visit to the lovely city of Leeds.
