Used to visit here a few years ago and found that today this place has gone downhill. Being in a heatwave there is no air con and one family decided to leave just after arrival due it being too hot. My cappuccino came and was nearly cold so had to return it. One of our glasses had a sharp chip on the edge where you drink from it! The waitress who brought our food didn't even acknowledge us. The noise from the manager's jingling keys slightly irritating. On a positive note the chocolate fudge cake is still great! won't be returning.

Staff do not advise you of the upcoming parking fine if you do not register your car. Notices difficult to see. Would not set foot in the place again on principle. Car park not one that is abused by non paying customers due to location so only reason to install APNR cameras is to con paying customers.

I enjoyed the meal but two things:When I came to pay I was charged full price instead of £5. Asked if I had a voucher (at the time I wasn’t sure) but the staff should have asked how I booked it and then I would have rememberedAnother time I came straight from hospital and was hungry. I was early than the time I booked and was shown to the bar area. Was not aware of the need to register my car details, as I never saw any notices, hence I got slapped with a parking fine.I am a pensioner and cannot afford pay full price and certainly not the fine.I have been coming regularly with friends but I’m beginning to reconsider whether it’s worthwhile now

Great food. Very busy on the half price carvery nights. Short wait for table due to this, but only to be expected and wasn't too long.

We've been in today and the food was gorgeous but I have to say, more importantly, the staff were just amazing, they were so accommodating for the member of our party who is severely disabled, they were all incredibly sweet and I couldn't recommend it enough, would honestly offer all the staff working today a raise they were so good
