Waiter refused to give me salt and pepper. And said and I quote 'they've already been seasoned'.Staff need training in base level etiquette.

Food is quite good, tasty and good portions. Staff is a bit distracted. The last two times we've been there, we have had to go and get the menus for ourselves. Getting a drink to the table sometimes takes ages. Staff friendliness expires after paying the bill: in our last visit, the waiter literally took the pint glass i was still drinking off the table for the next customer!!!. Please fix the sound system or turn it off!!! It is annoying and loud.

The food was excellent, and the staff were great. They were able to turn the music down on Friday evening which really helped my Mum hear what I was saying. An overall enjoyable birthday meal made better by the staff.

Really lovely breakfast! This was my first time coming to the mustard pot in quite a while as I don't live nearby, but it was well worth the visit. I really enjoyed my tasty breakfast, the poached eggs were done perfectly! The coffee was great too. Lovely food, friendly and efficient service, with a lovely atmosphere. We were in a quiet part of the bar but I noticed there were parents and toddlers there so it seems very welcoming to families. I will definitely go back, worth the 40 minute drive.

We had a fantastic night on Saturday! The host/man with the flat cap was really friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate me and 3 friends. Great music and atmosphere, very pleased to call it my local!

Came in today for Sunday lunch with my partner and dog. The food was great and Amy who served us was a delight and the whole experience was a lovely addition to our Sunday walk will come back again!

The pub was lovely and the staff friendly but not particularly well trained, and overall the customer service was poor. We had to ask multiple times for anything we needed, and it usually arrived too late (ice for drinks, extra gravy etc). The main issue was the lack of knowledge from most of the servers about gluten free meals for a coeliac. The first server went to check with the kitchen, and then confirmed we could have the bean burger with a gluten free bun. About half an hour later another server said we couldn't have that. A manager/supervisor then came out (he was lovely), and we found an option. But the same thing happened when ordering desserts, and everyone else's dessert arrived before the gluten free one, which then arrived wrong and had to be switched, taking even longer. It was just a fairly stressful experience, and is not worth the risk for coeliac people. There are plenty of other places to go for a Sunday dinner that know their stuff with gluten free. Such a shame, as the atmosphere and prices were good. Staff need more training, and dietary requirements should be taken into consideration better.
