Wow by far the freshest carvery I’ve ever had. 5 star staff Karen behind the carvery did a great job of the meat will definitely be back. Thanks

Food was lovely and was brought out really fast. Holly was lovely at the bar. Deserts were fabulous and everyone enjoyed all of it.

Better than the last couple of Greene Kings I've been to but as always the veg on the carvery could be better. Not bad value clean and nice staff.

Not having been to this pub before we didn't know what to expect. We had the carvery medium size which was really good. Definitely recommend.

The food is absolutely what you expect for the price, but it is the staff that make it a really lovely place to go.

Carvery was good quality and decent size portion. Small mixed grill and hunters chicken eaten by my companions, reported to be tasty well cooked. A good place for basic pub food.Parking: Reasonable sized car park with accessible parking spaces near the entrance.

Dined here this week. Had only just opened when we arrived at 1pm as they had been having some maintenance done. Hence the carvery wasn’t laid out yet. I say this as there was no excuse for food not being piping hot— ie, it hadn’t been sitting under the lamps for ages. Food was ok but luke warm at best. Pointed this out to the perky boss lady on duty — who was otherwise charm personified — but she just said it had all been temperature checked and it was fine. Stuffing was very average, Yorkshires were stale and overdone, meat portions were wafer thin. Some veg were delicious; some quite underdone. Basically bog standard carvery fayre at a reasonable price. Not bad but I wouldn’t hurry back. Go yourself and make up your own minds.

Came here today as we were up from Liverpool visiting our son who’s in Leeds uni and we’re looking for a carvery. We were a little worried at first as we are used to Toby carvery but omg this was so much better than Toby!! So much selection and portion sizes were unreal! Luke behind the carvery was so lovely chatted to us as he was serving us and also the waitress Abbie and Ali (I think) we will definitely be back again!

Meal spoilt by under cooked vegetables. I like al dente but not half cooked! Portions good but when I mentioned the veg to staff, got no feedback. The waitress just walked away

Good welcome and no que so we were straight in. It took a little while for someone to respond to the bell, but again very polite and friendly. The meat was plentiful and the gravy was tasty. However, the food was cold and we had to ask for it to be microwaved. The veg was also undercooked. Wwe did bring this to the attention of the manager, who was very apologetic and offered us a free coffee. Not sure we will be back again though!

Firstly after entering the pub, we stood and waited to be seated. Waited 5 mins as the pub was quiet and shouted over to the bar staff "shall we just go get our own seats?" "oh yes was the answer" ?Then got sliced up the meat, no beef was available, nevertheless they give us small thin cuts of meat which was dry to taste. Got the veg and Yorkshire puds only once again for it all to be bone dry. Over £30 spent for a horrible meal. Very disappointed.

Went for a carvery on the 5th November. There was hardly any veg. Most of the food was cold and the meat was cut that thin you could see through it. The food trays were all nearly empty and the mash was cold. Normally the food is really good but the 5 of us that got the carvery were disappointed.
